Feed is one the major aspects of running a Poultry farming business. Feed. It covers almost the three quarters of the cost of production. I tag it as the backbone of the business because without adequate feed for the birds, the birds won't grow properly despite the fact that it's what you feed the birds, that's the result they will give back. The result will be observed in their weights.
It's what people who have the intention going into business see as major hindrance to start up the business (capital for feeds) just as attested and many others outside hive community. I just want to use this opportunity to dish out little advice. When one has the intention to venture into the Poultry farming business, it's advisable to bear in mind that the business is a gradual process business. It's not necessary that one has huge amount of capital to start up with.
One can start up the business as little as your business capital can cover. I started my Poultry farming business with 50 birds with the capital for feed intact. It's not way you're business won't flop pwhen your capital for feed can only covers 50 birds while you are having intention to raise 100 birds. There's no way it won't flop. Currently I am financially capable to feed 200 birds from day old to 7 weeks that covers about 38 bags of feed.
So, in lieu of this Poultry farming business gives room for individuals to start small. If it's 25 birds your capital for cost of production can cover start with it. Then with that, one can start increasing the batches as time passes by.
