Hello and welcome back to my blog.
I am having a lot of fun in Mineclone, a game which plays like the popular sandbox game, Minecraft. I have been documenting my journey there and it is quite addictive and challenging at the same time.
It has been a long since I played the Minecraft official game. I think it has been 2 years since I played it and since then there have been many updates so I am finding new things in the game and Mineclone is trying to be a replica of Minecraft.
I have a few farm setups but still low on metals so I went in the caves to find more iron and diamonds. Got a few pieces of iron but no luck at finding diamonds or lapiz.
Well, I went on a boat and set sail into the ocean to loot some Treasure chests from structures like sunken ships and ocean temples. Not the best day, I guess.
I was not going to find any villages in the ocean so I dropped that idea and started looking for a village. Villagers can be very helpful in the game and can make it easier for you, especially by trading enchanted items and books.
One of my biggest challenges so far was to find a village so I can set up a trading place with them to get better items and lots of other things required for me to have easier gameplay. I walked in the south direction from my base and stumbled on a cave and was always tempted to explore it. It was a bad idea and a creeper fell right on my head and blown. It ended quickly. It was unfortunate and I got back and collected all my dropped items and dropped the idea completely.
Luckily, I saw two wooden houses on top of a hill which mean one thing only that this is a village and I was excited to see villagers in the game.
Some of the houses were empty and didn't even have a bed while some had chests with food and iron tools. There were two blacksmith houses and they had much better loot.
One of the houses had 2 villagers inside while others were smaller houses with 1 bed each. I quickly noticed a few villagers turned into zombie villagers and were roaming around. I had to kill them.
Some pillagers were there as well, trying to kill those remaining villagers. I managed to lock some of the villagers inside the house so they can't go out and kill themselves.
In the nighttime, a few of them who got terrified by the monster noises ran out of the house and got converted into zombie villagers. What an idiot...lol
I went to check on the couple in that big house and one of them was missing. I forgot to lock them down and somehow one of them got stuck somewhere (most probably in the ravine nearby) or got killed by pillagers or monsters.
I saw one guy jumping into a deep hole and taking damage. Well, they have always been dumb. I am afraid they will find creative ways to kill themselves. I need to find ways to breed them but I am not taking risks now. I have only a few left and currently they are locked in their respective house. I might need to make tunnels to transport them safely to one house and then try to multiply their numbers.
What an adventure this has been. I am liking the challenge in Mineclone, it is much better than the minetest for me. It is not the perfect game and sometimes the lag is evident but it goes away quickly and the game is very enjoyable.
