hello hello everyone~~ It is the holidays and I just finished this exclusive contract assigned to me this past 2-3? weeks? Anyway, just know that I got so buried in work that I barely got to enjoy my weekends or anything else. But since it's the holidays I want to actually enjoy it by doing things I've been wanting to do ^^ Yesterday I went hibernating and today, I didn't sleep but I was drawing all day again and for someone that hasn't done anything creative in the past few months, this is really refreshing!
So I finally gave my watercolor set attention again because it's an expensive set and I'm kind of just trying to use up all of my old supplies so that by 2027 or so, I can really really start fresh because I'm estimating that my supplies will still last me a year.
So this april, I'm just gonna follow this prompt list while doing digi and other things in between XD what is the point of having so many sketchpads and options if IK can't multi-task after all.
If I go accordingly, I'm on day 3 now and that's birds! and I made birds XD
Materials: fineliners, white acrylic pen, watercolors
Duration: without the drying time, 1 hour
It's not as good as where I was a few months back but it's pretty good for someone who hasn't been practicing or being creative for a few months or so ;;w;; I really think I need to revive this habit soon.
Anyway, for my progress, I started with painting my paper brown. I really hate white paper now and I think this is becoming a big problem for me. I might end up soaking my sketchbook in a tub of brown ink if this gets out of hand ;;-;;
When that dried, I then did my sketch for the little bird and the big bird ^^
Then I started penning in the rough details starting with my 005 fineliner then I worked up the points to the brush tip ^^ when I finished with that, I did add another layer of watercolor to give it a bit more life.
I do think I went a little overboard with the highlights but I'll take it as me not having the same sense as I did a few months back.
And that concludes my bird drawing ^^ I'm thinking of doing watercolor layers over my work lunch break just so I could keep practicing somehow.
But that's all from me for today. I still have a few things to do f the night then bed ^^
