Nuevas imágenes en Pixabay – Día de la Tierra
Hello, I’m sharing my latest images that I added to my Pixabay profile. These days I’m more focused on uploading some of my illustrations and photographs to expand my portfolio. I believe I have, and can create, several visual resources that others may find useful and download for their needs. In addition, Pixabay’s license is one of the freest among image banks, and I think publishing my work, no matter how simple, can be helpful for someone who needs an image and cannot afford the high costs of paid image banks. This month, Pixabay is celebrating Earth Day, so I want all my illustrations to follow that theme. In this post, I will share my latest illustrations and part of the process behind them. I hope you enjoy them.
Hola, les comparto mis últimas imágenes que agregué a mi perfil de Pixabay. En estos días estoy más enfrascado en subir algunas de mis ilustraciones y fotografías para aumentar mi portafolio. Creo que tengo y puedo hacer varios recursos visuales que otros podrán encontrar útiles y descargar para sus necesidades. Además, la licencia de Pixabay es de las más libres que tienen los bancos de imágenes, y creo que publicar mi trabajo, por simple que sea, puede ser una ayuda para alguien que necesite una imagen y no pueda pagar lo caro de los bancos de imágenes de pago. Este mes Pixabay está celebrando el Día de la Tierra, así que quiero que todas mis ilustraciones vayan por esa temática. En este post les compartiré mis últimas ilustraciones y parte del proceso detrás. Espero que les guste.

The first image I’m sharing is the one I used to open this post: a very simple view from the atmosphere of our planet Earth. I kept the style flat and minimal, with some shadows and plenty of upper space to add any kind of text or information that end users might need. I uploaded two versions: one with colors and another with just the line art, since that might be useful for someone.
La primera imagen que les comparto fue con la que abrí este post: una imagen muy simple de una vista desde la atmósfera de nuestro planeta Tierra. El estilo lo mantuve simple y plano, con algunas sombras y mucho espacio superior para agregar cualquier tipo de texto o información que los usuarios finales necesiten. Subí dos versiones: una con los colores y otra solo con el line art, porque quizás así le sea útil a alguien.

For the next image, I wanted to change the canvas orientation, so I chose a vertical format. I aimed for a poster-like composition with space for text, but where the illustration would be the main focus. I decided on a theme I consider very necessary: the protection of the oceans and how the ocean itself protects our planet. I made a quick sketch of what I envisioned, a marine spirit in the shape of a woman with blue hair holding our planet, safeguarded inside a drop of water. The next step was simply coloring and adding details, and this was the result. It can certainly be improved, but I also think it’s very beautiful.
Para la siguiente imagen quise cambiar la orientación del canvas, así que me decidí por una imagen en vertical. Quería una especie de póster con espacios para texto, pero donde la ilustración fuese la protagonista. Me decidí por una temática que considero muy necesaria: la protección de los océanos y cómo el propio océano protege nuestro planeta. Realicé un pequeño boceto rápido de lo que quería: un espíritu marino con forma de mujer y cabello azul sostiene nuestro planeta protegido en el interior de una gota de agua. Lo siguiente fue simplemente colorear y dar detalles, y obtuve este resultado. Es muy mejorable, pero creo que también es muy bonito.

Earth Day should be a celebration, so that was my next drawing: a boy with a birthday hat holding a floating balloon in the shape of a heart with a world map on it. I really enjoyed making this drawing and its flat, cartoon style. I think I could try to refine my skills in this style, perhaps this is close to that famous “personal style” every artist seeks. Honestly, I believe this was my favorite image.
El Día de la Tierra debe ser una celebración, así que ese fue mi siguiente dibujo: un chico con gorro de cumpleaños que sujeta un globo flotante con forma de corazón e imagen de un mapamundi. Me gustó mucho hacer este dibujo y el estilo tan cartoon y plano. Creo que pudiera tratar de pulir más el dibujo en este estilo, quizás por esta zona esté ese famoso “estilo propio” que todo el que dibuja busca. La verdad, creo que esta fue mi imagen favorita.

The last drawing I made was simply the planet Earth, or rather, a personification of it as a beautiful girl taking a selfie. Because if we protect our planet, it will look beautiful enough to take many selfies. I really liked this drawing too. Without a doubt, I think I’ve improved a lot since I started this blog, and it feels good to share a bit of my doodles with the community. Ah, I almost forgot: I made all these drawings in Ibis Paint, my favorite drawing software, and you can download this and many more images from my Pixabay profile. El último dibujo que hice fue simplemente el planeta Tierra, o mejor dicho, una personificación como una bonita chica que se toma una selfie, porque si protegemos el planeta Tierra se verá tan bonito como para tomarse muchas selfies. Me gustó mucho este dibujo también. Sin dudas creo que he mejorado mucho desde que comencé este blog y me sienta bien compartir un poquito de mis garabatos con la comunidad. Aaaaah, se me olvidaba: hice todos estos dibujos en Ibis Paint, mi software favorito de dibujo, y puedes descargar esta y muchas más imágenes en mi perfil de Pixabay.
