A pesar de los horrores cometidos,
nunca es tarde para
arrepentirse y permitir vivir.
Dejar nacer el futuro.
En esta obra surrealista dibujé a una mujer desnuda en estado de embarazo, capturando un momento de introspección y arrepentimiento. Nunca sabremos las circuntancias o problemas de muchas madres que el fantasma del aborto o del suicidio las atormentaron pero gracias a algún familiar o amigo, decidieron seguir adelante y traer al mundo una nueva vida.
"Arrepentida" es una de mis obras emocionales donde pueden apreciar una embarazada con el rostro oculto por su pelo que a atentado de muchas maneras, contra su vida y la del bebé pero al final acepta seguir hacia adelante sin importar sus problemas y consecuencias. La obra nos recuerda que nunca es tarde para arrepentirse y vivir.
Para realizar la obra utilicé una cartulina de 70 cm x 50 cm, lápices HB, 2B, 4B, 6B, una goma de borrar y una hoja donde apoyaba la mano para no expandir el grafito en el dibujo y evitar ensuciarme la mano. Con todos los materiales antes mencionado, desarrollé los contrastes producidos por los variables valores tonales, volúmenes y texturas que dieron vida a la obra.

Despite the horrors committed,
it is never too late
to repent and allow life to thrive.
Let the future be born.
In this surrealist work, I drew a nude pregnant woman, capturing a moment of introspection and repentance. We will never know the circumstances or struggles of the many mothers haunted by the specter of abortion or suicide, but thanks to a family member or friend, they chose to move forward and bring new life into the world.
"Repentant" is one of my most emotional pieces, depicting a pregnant woman with her face hidden by her hair. She attempted, in many ways, to end her life and that of her baby, but ultimately chose to accept moving forward despite her struggles and consequences. The work reminds us that it is never too late to repent and live.
To create this piece, I used a 70 cm x 50 cm cardstock, HB, 2B, 4B, and 6B pencils, an eraser, and a sheet to rest my hand on (to prevent graphite smudging and keep my hand clean). With these materials, I developed contrasts through varying tonal values, volumes, and textures that brought the artwork to life.
