The horse (oil on paper)

Hello hivers, an happy Thursday to you all! Another sunny day here and it makes me feel the Summer is not so far from us. 😊
Yesterday in the afetrnoon there was a lesson of the art class inside our lab room and so, as uual, while my hubby Hive account@paolobeneforti was teaching to his students there, I placed my small working table between them and I worked on my paintings and sketches.
I thought to exercise myself sketching and painting horses (sure, in my own illustrative style! ❤️ ) and this is the one I painted on my sketchbook:

It's the first horse in my own style I painted since I started my way on art, even if I really love the horse and I rode horses for some years when I was younger than now. One of my old friends had 3 horses close to his home and so, on the weekend, we used to ride them along the hills and the forests. Such a beautiful, wild time on the horse in the nature! 😊
I don't know why I never thought before to paint an horse, maybe because they are so magnificent animals and it was impossible to represent their real magnificence. ❤️
I painted this one using my oil colors on a page of my sketchbook and, like I use to do, I took some pics while I was painting it:
