Quite the dumping of rain we had and yesterday morning showed nearly an inch from just 7 hours of downpours. It didn't seem to have done much more overnight.

As I emptied the gauge I heard the stupid turkeys pipping and chirping at each other up on the hill. Jack ass birds looked like toms fighting, making all kinds of noise, perfect to get hit by the coyotes...

Got the boys to school then got myself ready for my ride. It was my day for my longest ride yet so I headed out with a couple extra packs of calories in case I needed it. There was no moose this time as I headed west.

Crossed the 395 and kept heading west in the direction of Scoop Mtn. It was obscured by the low clouds still hanging around the region. My new earbuds are AMAZING compared to my last and the audiobook helped keep me pedaling.

Neon colors help keep me visible to vehicles.

Hit Spotted road and headed south on the gravel which was also a high elevation point on the ride.

Need to remember that this place is out there. Might be good to check out for blackberries.

I hit Wild Rose and turned back east towards the farm where I was on pavement until the last 2 miles. I got a really nice big downhill section from the ride's highest elevation point which is 2 miles straight line to the farm.

My longest ride so far at over 21 miles.

I was home in time to catch the PDC matches which Littler managed to finally win a day.

12:30pm and the sun was warm and bright shining in the sliders.

2pm the storm cells moved in from the NW.

And it started to rain, then it began to hail.

And it really hailed.

The birds and animals had all run for cover as the hail hit and it was good as the hail came down in a torrent for a good 15 minutes.

The farm had a white coating that was like snowfall when the storm finally pushed to the SE. Over a .1" from the downpour.

I found a water bottle cage container for my bike and printed a pair of them out. Set for extra walls and layers to make sure strong enough.

It works PERFECTLY as my med kit. I was able to fit everything I need inside for basic wound treatments as well as a gel for energy and salts in case I need to replace from sweating.

Fits the cage perfect and nice and tight. I ran a bit of teflon tape around the threads to help give it a water tighter seal. I wear my running vest that has my water bladder in it so this works great.

I have found a pair of cycling shoes on Craigslist for sale that are my size and I have setup to get them Saturday morning on our way to the wrestling tournament. I will need pedals for them but hope to use them on my current setup. The new season of Scrubs is out now and it is really good to have them back making it after 20 years. I really like how they are doing it with JD taking over the head role now. All the cast is back and this is one "reboot" that seems to be working great.

Today looks to be no rain so I will head out for another ride but a shorter one so as not to overwork my legs too much. Thinking I will pull the rack off the back given it is set for size now and I am not needing it until I need to use the panniers. Boys to school in a bit, dailies, will try and find a solid front fork that might fit my bike as a possible way to make it more road worthy.
