Woke to a misty morning yesterday with it rather cool in the mid 30s F. I got myself ready and my kit on then and I headed up to Green Bluff to the start at Big Barn Brewing.
I was very happy to have my jacket which did perfectly to keep the cooler wind from cooling me off too much during the ride.
I did a short less than 1 mile warm up to get my legs moving then was at the start area when I heard a couple on a tandem bike get told they could start whenever. It was not a timed event so really the start times were semi-official.
So I took off at 8:15 for my ride. I was by myself the whole time and passed by the front of the 100 mile race as we were at Bruce and Day Mt Spokane intersection. Soon I was on Peone road with minimal wind and some nice clouds and sun.
I rode along and then saw the r/c car track at the Forker intersection. Quite the track setup!
Rolling along Forker I was coming up to the church/fire station corner and there was and the boys.
I stopped for a moment to give them hugs and say hi. They warned me of the wreck at the next intersection I needed to watch for.
After riding past the wreck I was on Moffat and saw some wild turkeys down by the creek to the lower left.
Then they met me by the middle school at the start of north loop.
And then at the entrance to NW Christian school where I dropped my jacket with them before rolling on up the Bernhill hill.
Then rode north towards the nearest part of the course to our house and then on east.
This was on Big Meadows as I was past my prior longest ride distance.
The last part of the ride was a 1.3 mile long climb back up onto Green Bluff which really kicked my ass. They were waiting at the finish line for me with the Windows screen as their backdrop.
I still had a .25 mile to ride to flip over 50 miles on my Garmin.
That beer was soooo good, as well as the food, but the beer!
Here are all my stats for it.

These are all the cars that passed by me.
It decided to DUMP rain again as the thunderstorms rolled through in the evening as I was laid out on the couch in a state of utter soreness.
Back to the grind today as I have a pair of jobs to do. Cutting down a tree for one of my clients and then a door lock job for a new client this afternoon. I am moving slow and am super sore in the hips today so hope the ibu and muscle relaxer helps my mobility. Busy week ahead so need to recover quickly.
