Thoughts: EV vs Petrol - Beta vs VHS
This is how I see Electric Vehicles. A total bad idea. Why ? because the technology behind battery design, regardless of purpose, from child toys, mobile phones, etc to Huge Trucks/Buses are just not ready.
There are many many videos showing EV's (even mobile phones) bursting into flames, and usually these are taken down on mainstream social media platforms. There are Electrical Busses being charged from Diesel Generators behind Depot walls which defeats the purpose.
Now let's come closer to home, Electric Bikes. I have never had one but if they as successful as the outlets say they are, why are there are so many being sold on Auction sites like TradeMe. This also applies to scooters. To me, this points to battery issues, notably, batteries endurance and how long they are used before require replacement.
I may be wrong, maybe there's a breakthrough in battery design while I write this, but for now, I have doubts.

In the years I've looked at this charging sight, I have only seen 2 cars hooked up to this charging units. One vehicle had council logos, the other was unmarked.
