As someone who doesn't like other people in general, and because of this I always ride alone... the chance of actually getting serious problems is 10x as low when you're alone, only two wheels touching the ground instead of 20 😊 PLUS you don't have the risk of other group members slamming in to you so your spokes get broken 😏
It's true that when I do get in to trouble, I have to fix it all by myself but that's why I always carry essential gear and a spare inner tube, never say never but it will be quite unlikely I will take part in group rides 😁
Maybe one day some mountain biking event but then still, I will ride it alone (but with a lot of unknown other cyclists around me)
My plan B whenever I can't get my bike fixed is I always carry my debit card with me so I can walk to a nearby train station and get home by train.
Are there trains in Cuba? Without fuel they probably can't drive as well if there are any... 😐
