This is simply an aspect of the human condition. One of the most interesting things about this feature of our QoL is that the worst possible thing that could happens always happens at the worst possible time it could happen. This is how we can tell that our enemies are paying us attention, that we are worthy of opposing, because they are choosing to do the worst possible thing at the worst possible time to do us the most possible harm. As a man is measured by his enemies, the more difficult it is to overcome what is impeding you, the more dangerous to your enemies you can tell you are. Wear your impediments like medals, because they are the measure of your worth.
