This week's contest is about education and we will be answering the question below.
Write about what do you think about education? How necessary is it? How should education be? What do you usually do to educate yourself?
Firstly, what is education?
Education is both the act of teaching knowledge to others and the act of receiving knowledge from someone else.
Education also refers to the knowledge received through schooling or instruction
Education is the process of receiving or giving systematic instruction, especially at a school or university.
Education is the process of acquiring a skill or idea on a subject you aren't aware of or perhaps you are aware of but need to know more and get better clarification about the subject matter.
My Thought on Education
Every day of our existence on earth, from our crawling on our hands to walking, we learn everything and anything that can either build our lives or mare our lives.
So education is every day because no man is an island and anyone who refuses to be educated or schooled in life should be ready to remain stagnant.
Education opens our eyes to see the reality of life and to be versatile and that helps one to be able to live life better.
Education should not primarily be the one taught in the school but education could also be the skill one decides to learn for oneself or to make a living.
It doesn't matter where we stay to learn or get it, what matters is there is a lesson learned or a new skill acquired that one never had or knew.
Importance of Education
Without education, the world won't be where it is today. Whether formal or informal, whatever way it comes, education is as important as the food we eat and one must be educated and open to receiving education whichever way it comes.
Being educated or education helps one to be able to see a problem and be able to solve the problem.
Being educated or education helps one to see life from another perspective and helps one to be able to relate with people from all spheres of life and with different personalities and influences.
Education helps one to think out of the box. Education gives one the platform to excel voluntarily.
Education helps one to be qualified for certain job opportunities or business deals.
How Education Should Be
Education can be given anyway but I think education should be between two or more persons for a better understanding.
It should be interactive and should be able to captive the attention of the person receiving because the brain becomes dull when education is coming from one angle or direction and when there is no flow of communication from both.
It should be relevant and not just for head knowledge because education is no education if it can't be applied to life or in life.
What I do to educate myself
There are a few things I do to educate myself which I see as self-empowerment.
- Reading books
- Attend seminars or classes for a particular area of specialization.
- Ask questions from people who are already in that area, have gone through such challenges, or have an idea about what I want to know or I ask Google answers to the said question.
To complete the requirements of the contest, I promoted 
Where he talked about the games he uses to teach his pupils who need special attention due to their physical defects, they were given special education to help enhance learning.
He went on to talk about the different games added to their curriculum to make education colourful, understandable, and fun for them.
He said
>More importantly, it is tried to give the students self-confidence and make them happier. We learn while having fun and have fun while learning.
When a student has self-confidence it not only help the student but it is also a good sign to the teacher that he is doing his job well and the only way to make a student confident is to create ways to make learning fun to them, is to create ways to make them see learning as something they do every day and can do it if they wish to learn.
I think it should be a must-read for those of us who are teachers, perhaps not just the kids who need special attention or education but for every kid, education should be brought down to their level to help them see education or learning as a fun and easy thing to do.
