I have always loved to travel when I was a little child. Every December, we look forward to traveling to our hometown, and there is this feeling of excitement in us that makes us eager to travel, especially in Dad's car because we feel we are more comfortable in it than taking public cars. Yes, there is this comfort you derive when you travel in your own car and the possibility is that you tend to reach your destination faster unlike taking a public car or bus where the driver keeps stopping at every bus stop to drop passengers off and it makes the journey stressful and tiring.
Apart from the bumpy roads one would come across, traveling is fun and you learn a lot of things through the journey. I made mention of when I first learnt how to save through traveling and the words were boldly written on a big signboard on the road.
We have always enjoyed traveling to see both grandparents because we love tasting their meals. When you travel, you meet new people, you learn their cultures and ways of life. You gain more experiences when you travel and above all, it is fun.
I came across this post by where she narrated about her trip with her two kids for three years. I love this part of her post,
What if we can just change the way we see things and open a whole new world with just that little shift of how we see things?

I bet you, when you travel, it will change your perspective to how you see things. Learning is great and fun, and when you think you have seen it all, there is more to be unveiled when you travel. There are new things you would explore that leaves your mouth wide open in awe. There is happiness when you learn how people see things, how they behave, their kinds of meals, their lifestyles etc.
One thing that I enjoyed in traveling when I was a kid was meeting new people, eating food different from what mom used to prepare for us, watching how the children play and we copied those lifestyles from them and were eager to return back home to teach our friends.
I also remember how I would love to sit by the door´s side of the car so I would be viewing a lot of things including nature and cars moving, houses and villages nearby and whatever I saw that fascinated me, I would shout and show my siblings. It was so much fun and I loved traveling.
When I grew up, I traveled to different states just to meet people. Their ways of speaking and doing things always amazes me because they are always different from how we do it. Truly, I will agree that learning takes place practically when you travel.
Some people have made traveling their lifestyle, it´s like a hobby to them and they would always travel to different places, snap pictures and post on social media. There was a day I saw a lady talking about her traveling experience to Yoruba land and how it was fun. I was interested in visiting such a place too because it seems new to me since I have never heard of it before. I talked to my friends, which we agreed to after our final papers, but due to some unforeseen circumstances, we couldn't make it there. I love to travel but for security purposes especially things going on in the world, One needs to be careful.
There is a lot to gain when you travel. Many people travel to unwind, for fun, for memories, for business etc but in the end, they come along with lessons and capture beautiful places.
Always be careful out there before traveling. Make plans and get everything you need prepared, especially money for your journey. Do not travel when it is not safe out there.
Share your travel plans with trusted families and friends. Do not travel alone without informing anyone of your plans because everywhere is risky, we are only covered by God's grace.
Secure your valuables whenever you want to travel. Do not expose any of your valuables especially when you are in a public bus or car.
Avoid reckless behaviors and use your common sense. This means that you must not drink too much or in excess and avoid going out with a stranger. Pay attention to those around you while walking, hiking or driving and if you feel uncomfortable, quickly walk into public places like restaurants to avoid any bad thing from happening.
