Hello Friends! I hope all of you are being well by the grace of Almighty. This is my first post in this community. Nature always helps me to be stress-free. Even though I have to go to the city for my studies, I always remember the nature of my village, soil, wind, flowers and small plants. When I come home on vacation, I run to the call of nature. Most of the time, when the sun is high in the afternoon, I sit alone by the pond and observe silence with nature๐๐. Sometimes I close my eyes and feel the cool wind and breathe loudly. It seems to me that all the stress inside me disappears with the wind.
One such afternoon, I went to the paddy field next to my village, which is basically ours. There are also a few mango trees planted around the paddy field. Now the paddy trees in the paddy field are small. A few days ago, there was a lot of hail in our village. The paddy trees were almost destroyed in the hail๐ฅ๐ฅ .But the good news is that after the rain, there was a lot of sunshine for a few days, as a result of which the paddy trees have started growing again. There are small paths for walking between the rice fields. These are mainly made of dirt and have small grasses growing on them.
If you notice, you will see that there are small plants in the middle of the rice fields which are basically a type of algae. They are called "Khudipana" in our rural language. They are mostly found in the middle of the rice fields and are considered as food for fish. Khudipana can grow in a very short time. In just 2-3 days, the entire rice field can be covered. Khudipana also acts as a safe haven for aquatic species.
I also saw a round, dense, and somewhat cabbage-like plant in the rice field. I don't know its name. But I remember playing with this plant when I was a child. I had heard from many people that it is known as a medicinal plant. Its leaves are used to treat dysentery and ringworm.
Small Bhringraj flowers were blooming on the side of the road in the middle of the rice field. These white flowers have a yellow part in the middle that adds to the beauty of this flower. A red colored insect was roaming around the flower. Bhringraj flower looks a bit like a daisy flower. That is why it is called "false daisy" in English. This flower has many medicinal properties. It is used in hair care. When the juice of this flower is used on the hair, the hair becomes shiny, smooth and black.
These small beautiful things have made our village rice fields green and complete them. If you like this blog of mine, let me know in the comment box.
Wishing you all the best for today. Stay well everyone.
