El señor es de avanzada edad y no puede venir solo a estos trámites, así que vino acompañado de dos amigas de él, quienes son las que están siempre a su cuidado, pues la familia, por alguna u otra razón que desconozco, no lo atienden.
Se supone que vendrían temprano en la mañana, y por eso yo estaba tranquilo. Pronto estaría en casa, descansando y siendo mimado por mi esposa. Pero nada de eso. Las horas pasaron y no llegaban, por tanto, comencé a sentir un poco de ira.

It was a day when I thought I was taking a well-deserved rest, after finishing the medical guard or night shift. I had completely forgotten that I had a patient friend of my mother's who came with an appointment to check his surgical evolution.
The gentleman is elderly and cannot come alone for these procedures, so he came accompanied by two friends of his, who are the ones who are always in his care, since the family, for some reason or another that I do not know, do not attend him.
They were supposed to come early in the morning, and so I was calm. Soon I would be home, resting and being pampered by my wife. But nothing of the sort. The hours passed and they didn't come, so I began to feel a little angry.

Además, a las personas mayores, hay que dedicarle el mayor tiempo posible, pues ellos, en algún momento, le dedicaron el suyo a nosotros.

Finally, almost at noon, they arrived. They were very sorry, but I was even sorrier when I learned the reason for their delay. Another brother of the Faith needed their help. These two ladies are the pillar of the people in need in their church. As a result, I think my anger was unwarranted and I threw it in the trash right away.
And that is patience. We must not violate the times for the things we are waiting for to happen. I will save the anger for when I know what the delay is about and I will not speculate on ideas that I am not sure if they are true. I don't have a crystal ball. Besides, to older people, we must dedicate as much time as possible, as they, at some point, dedicated theirs to us.
