Hoy les comparto cómo hice esta ambulancia de cartón tamaño real, perfecta para un niño de 6 años, ideal para disfraces, actividades escolares o juegos 👦🚑✨
✂️ Materiales que utilicé
✅ 1 caja grande de cartón (tipo caja de electrodoméstico)
✅ Tijeras y cúter (solo para adultos)
✅ Silicona caliente o pegamento fuerte
✅ Papel blanco para forrar (o pintura blanca)
✅ Papel crepé rojo (para las franjas)
✅ Cartulina negra (llantas)
✅ 4 círculos de cartón o tapas grandes (ruedas)
✅ Tapas de refresco rojos y azul (sirena)
✅cartulina dorada
✅ Regla y lápiz
🛠️ Cómo la realicé paso a paso
1️⃣ Armé la estructura base
Primero tomé una caja grande de cartón y la cerré bien para que quedara firme.
Luego reforcé todas las uniones con cinta adhesiva por dentro y por fuera para que no se doblara.
2️⃣ Medí el tamaño para que el niño entrara
Puse al niño al lado de la caja para calcular el alto y el ancho.
Después marqué con lápiz un rectángulo en la parte superior dejando un borde alrededor para que no perdiera fuerza
📌 Importante: dejé espacio suficiente para que el niño pudiera caminar dentro.
3️⃣ Corté el espacio donde entra el niño
Con el cúter recorté la parte superior, dejando una abertura grande (como una “ventana” enorme).
Ese espacio es donde el niño mete el cuerpo y la ambulancia queda como si fuera un carro.
4️⃣ Hice el frente de la ambulancia
En la parte delantera marqué una forma inclinada para simular el capó.
Recorté y doblé el cartón para que se viera como un vehículo real.
5️⃣ Forré toda la ambulancia de blanco
Para que se viera limpia y real, forré toda la estructura con papel blanco, pegándolo con silicona y cinta para que quedara bien estirado y sin arrugas.
📌 También se puede pintar, pero forrar queda más parejo.
6️⃣ Decoración roja con papel crepé (en vez de pintura)
Para hacer la línea roja típica de ambulancia, corté tiras largas de papel crepé rojo y las pegué alrededor del carro como franja esto fue lo que usé en lugar de pintura,Con cartulina roja recorté cruces grandes y pequeñas.
Las pegué a ambos lados de la ambulancia para que se identificara rápido como ambulancia.
7️⃣ Ruedas
Para las ruedas recorté círculos de cartón y los forré:
⚫ negro para la llanta
Las pegué con silicona en la parte baja del carro.
8️⃣Sirena
En la parte de arriba coloque tapas de refresco rojos y azul simulando las luces de emergencia 🚨
Los pegué bien con silicona caliente para que no se despegaran.
9️⃣Letrero “AMBULANCIA”
Por último recorté las letras en cartulina roja, formé la palabra AMBULANCIA y la pegué al frente en una base de cartón para que quedara levantada y llamativa.
Y así terminé una ambulancia grande, resistente y súper creativa, hecha con materiales reciclados y perfecta para que los niños jueguen o la usen en una presentación escolar 🚑✨.

✂️ Materials I used
✅ 1 large cardboard box (like an appliance box)
✅ Scissors and cutter (adults only)
✅ Hot glue or strong adhesive
✅ White paper to cover it (or white paint)
✅ Red crepe paper (for the stripes)
✅ Black cardstock (tires)
✅ 4 cardboard circles or large lids (wheels)
✅ Red and blue soda bottle caps (siren lights)
✅ Gold cardstock
✅ Ruler and pencil
🛠️ How I made it step by step
1️⃣ I built the base structure
First, I took a large cardboard box and closed it well so it would be sturdy.
Then I reinforced all the joints with tape on the inside and outside so it wouldn’t bend.
2️⃣ I measured the size so the child could fit inside
I placed the child next to the box to calculate the height and width.
Then I marked a rectangle on the top part, leaving a border around it so it wouldn’t lose strength.
📌 Important: I left enough space so the child could walk inside.
3️⃣ I cut the opening where the child goes in
Using the cutter, I cut the top part, leaving a large opening (like a huge “window”).
That space is where the child puts their body, and the ambulance stays on like a car costume.
4️⃣ I made the front of the ambulance
On the front part, I marked an angled shape to simulate the hood.
I cut and folded the cardboard so it would look like a real vehicle.
5️⃣ I covered the whole ambulance in white
To make it look clean and realistic, I covered the entire structure with white paper, gluing it with silicone and tape so it stayed smooth and wrinkle-free.
📌 It can also be painted, but covering it looks more even.
6️⃣ Red decoration with crepe paper (instead of paint)
To make the typical red ambulance stripe, I cut long strips of red crepe paper and glued them around the vehicle as a stripe. This is what I used instead of paint.
With red cardstock, I cut out large and small crosses.
I glued them on both sides of the ambulance so it could quickly be recognized as an ambulance.
7️⃣Wheels
For the wheels, I cut out cardboard circles and covered them:
⚫ black for the tire
I glued them with silicone to the bottom part of the vehicle.
8️⃣Siren
On the top part, I placed red and blue soda bottle caps to simulate the emergency lights 🚨
I glued them well with hot silicone so they wouldn’t fall off.
9️⃣“AMBULANCE” sign
Finally, I cut the letters out of red cardstock, formed the word AMBULANCE, and glued it to the front on a cardboard base so it would stand out and look raised.
And that’s how I finished a big, strong, and super creative ambulance, made with recycled materials and perfect for kids to play with or use in a school presentation 🚑✨.
