Today is a very special day in my life as a Mother. My heart is full of joy and gratitude to God as I celebrate my beautiful daughter, Kessy, on her birthday. Watching her grow over the years has been one of the greatest blessings I could ever ask for. From a little girl full of curiosity to a strong and intelligent young woman, her journey has been nothing short of amazing.
Kessy is my fourth child, and she holds a unique place in my heart. Every child is special, but there is something about her calm nature, her smile, and the way she carries herself that always stands out. She has this quiet strength and kindness that draws people close to her. As a Mother, I feel proud seeing the woman she is becoming.
She is currently schooling at Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), and even though she is away from home, the bond we share remains strong. Distance has never reduced the love I have for her. In fact, moments like this remind me how much she means to me. I plan to visit her, bring her back home to Lafia, and spend quality time together. The journey is not too far, just about 1 hour and 30 minutes, but the joy of bringing her home makes it feel even shorter.
She recently sent me her studio pictures, and honestly, I was overwhelmed with joy. Seeing her looking so confident, beautiful, and grown made me reflect on how far she has come. Time truly flies. Just yesterday she was a little girl running around the house, and now she is blossoming into a responsible young woman with dreams and purpose.
To celebrate her special day, I am planning to take her out for a nice outing here in Lafia. We have a few lovely places in mind, like City Mall or Chicken Republic, where we can relax, eat good food, and just enjoy the moment together. It may seem simple, but sometimes the best memories come from these little moments shared with loved ones.
Kessy, as you add another year today, I want you to know that you are deeply loved and cherished. Keep being yourself, stay focused on your goals, and never forget where you come from. Life will bring challenges, but I believe in your strength and ability to overcome them. Continue to shine, continue to grow, and continue to make us proud.
I pray that this new age brings you happiness, good health, success in your studies, and fulfillment in all areas of your life. May God guide your steps and protect you wherever you go.
