This is how my day went today 🧖‍♀️
I woke up earlier than usual this morning, not because I had so much to do, but because my mind just wouldn’t stay asleep. There are days you wake up feeling heavy, and there are days you wake up feeling lighttoday felt like something in between. I said a short prayer, sat quietly for a few minutes, and just listened to the silence around me.
Let do some trekking hahaha 🤣🤓
By mid-morning, I prepared and made my way to our weekly women’s fellowship at ERCC Gloryland. The moment I stepped in, I felt that calmness I didn’t even realize I needed. The songs, the prayers, the voices of other women it all blended into something peaceful. Sometimes, it’s not even about what is said, but how your heart responds in those moments.
After the fellowship, I didn’t rush home immediately. I stood outside for a while, just observing people some were chatting, some laughing, others already on their way. Then my daughter Awazi came to meet me, and we decided to head home together.
Instead of taking a vehicle, we chose to walk. Not because it was easy, but because it felt right. The sun was out, not too harsh but strong enough to remind you that you’re alive and moving. As we walked, we didn’t talk too much at first. It was one of those comfortable silences.
Later on, we started talking about little things, about home, about food, even about random memories that made us smile. At some point, Awazi began to complain about being tired. I looked at her and laughed softly. I told her, “Life itself is a journey, this one is just a small part of it.” She didn’t find it as funny as I did, but it made the moment lighter.

We passed by different people, watched cars go by, and noticed how much our environment has changed over time. There was a gentle breeze at some point, and for a few minutes, everything just felt perfectly balanced.
When we finally got home, that was when my heart felt the most full. Seeing all my children around, hearing their voices, feeling that presence it reminded me of what truly matters. Not the stress, not the long walk, not even the heat but the people waiting for you at the end of the day.
I sat down quietly after a while and just reflected. Life doesn’t always come with big, dramatic moments. Sometimes, it’s in the simple thingsa walk, a conversation, a gathering—that we find the deepest kind of peace.
Today wasn’t extraordinary, but it was meaningful. And honestly, that is enough for me.
Thank you for coming to my blog 🤍
