Hello everyone and especially to the members of this beautiful community that I am writing today for the second time, and today I want to share with you a beautiful cultural activity that took place in my community in homage to the 25th anniversary of the founding of the community of "Abel Santamaria" where I have been living for 16 years.
We were invited by the school and by the choral group where my daughter participates, but we were very surprised to see these elderly people, dancing their traditional ballroom dances, the Danzón, which is a dance and musical genre of Cuban origin that is danced in pairs, it is a dance where the man has the obligation to show off the woman by touching her only with his left hand and on the waist with his right hand.
The young people were very surprised to see the grandparents dancing and socialising and participating in public activities in the community.
They still have a useful life, even though they are retired, and they have every right to enjoy their life and not only to dedicate themselves to the
They need their space and to be supported by the family they have built for themselves.
The children also had their space, declaiming poems allegorical to the date and singing their cute children's songs that we all love to enjoy from such talented children who are always ready to step forward.
A duo and a soloist also performed, singing traditional Cuban music, such as Lágrimas Negras, Contigo en la distancia and other beautiful songs that have been interpreted by artists from all over the world.
And to close, the children's choir Mi-La, where my youngest daughter has been participating for some time now and has been doing very well. They performed Tener talento es tener buen corazón, Tren de la Paz and Banahana, a very beautiful song sung in two voices.
Many people were very motivated by the activity that was presented in the community and some approached the different artistic groups to find out how they could join them, especially the senior citizens' group, as they don't always have the opportunity to give meaning to their lives and spend their afternoons with people who understand and help them. I heard the number of activities they have programmed inside and outside the province and although there are problems with transport, they solve them so that they can all be carried out.
And they really deserve it, they have already contributed all their lives to society and to the family, now it is their turn to enjoy a happy old age.
The community was very grateful for this activity, as they broke with the routine and brought art to the community, in a very simple way, but with a lot of quality.
I think that these activities should be developed in all the communities in order to present the potential of each community at all ages, because sometimes it is very difficult to go to a theatre or a facility and bring art to the community.

Hola a todos y en especial a los miembros de esta linda comunidad que hoy escribo por segunda vez, y hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una linda actividad cultural que tuvo lugar en mi comunidad en homenaje al vigésimo quinto aniversario de fundada la comunidad del "Abel Santamaria" reparto donde vivo hace ya 16 años.
Fuimos invitados por la escuela y por el grupo coral donde participa mi hija, pero nos sorprendió mucho ver a estas personas de la tercera edad, bailando sus bailes tradicionales de salón el Danzón, que es un baile y género musical de origen cubano que se baila en pareja , es un baile en donde el hombre tiene la obligación de hacer lucir a la mujer tocándola solamente con la mano izquierda y en la cintura con la mano derecha.
Los jóvenes quedaron muy sorprendidos de ver a los abuelos bailando y socialisando y participando en actividades públicas en la comunidad.
Y es que todavía tienen vida útil,a pesar de estar jubilados, y tienen todo el derecho de disfrutar de
sus vidas y no solamente dedicarse a cuidar a los nietos y buscar los mandados, ellos necesitan su espacio y ser apoyados por la familia que ellos mismos construyeron.
Los niños también tuvieron su espacio, declamando poemas alegórica a la fecha y cantando sus lindas canciones infantiles que a todos nos gusta disfrutar de niños tan talentosos y siempre listos para dar su paso al frente.
También se presentaron un dúo y un solista, cantando música tradicional cubana, como Lágrimas Negras, Contigo en la distancia entre otras canciones muy lindas que han sido interpretadas por artistas de todo el mundo.
Y para cerrar el coro infantil Mi- La, donde participa mi hija menor hace ya un tiempo y le ha ido muy bien. Interpretaron Tener talento es tener buen corazón, Tren de la Paz y Banahana, una canción muy linda cantada a dos voces.
Muchas personas quedaron muy motivadas con la actividad que se presentó en la comunidad y algunos se acercaron a los diferentes grupos artísticos para saber como se podían incorporar, principalmente en el grupo de las personas de la tercera edad, ya que no siempre se tiene la oportunidad de darle un sentido a su vida y ocupar tus tardes con personas que te entiendan y que te ayuden y escuché la cantidad de actividades que tienen programadas dentro y fuera de la provincia y aunque hay problemas con el transporte ellos lo resuelven para que todas se puedan realizar.
Y es que realmente se lo merecen, ya han aportado toda su vida a la sociedad y a la familia, ahora les toca disfrutar de una vejez feliz.
La comunidad agradeció mucho esta actividad, ya que rompieron con la rutina y llevaron el arte a la comunidad, de una forma muy sencilla, pero con mucha calidad.
Considero que actualmente como estas debían de desarrollarse en todas las comunidades y así presentar las potencialidades en todas las edades que tiene cada comunidad, ya que a veces se hace muy difícil ir a un teatro o una instalación, pudiendo llevar el arte a la comunidad.
