Greetings to everyone in the Daily Blog community! Today I'm joining you here to share with you another day at the dental office. As always, I try to show a bit of the work being done there from my perspective as a dental assistant, always striving to be very respectful. That said, this week we got off to a pretty good start with quite a few patients, including a special visit from some of our relatives. So it was not only a busy day, but also a very enjoyable one.
¡Saludos a todos en la comunidad de Daily Blog! El día de hoy me uno por aquí para compartir con ustedes un nuevo día en el consultorio odontológico. Cómo siempre, trato de mostrar un poco del trabajo que se viene realizando en el lugar desde mi perspectiva cómo asistente dental, siempre intentando ir con mucho respeto. Dicho esto, esta semana comenzamos bastante bien la jornada pues nos visitaron bastantes pacientes y entre ellos, tuvimos la visita de especial de unos familiares de nosotras. Por lo que fue un día además de ocupado, bien agradable.
Some patients came in for some pending treatments that, for personal reasons, either for the doctor or for them, couldn't be attended to. Here in the city, it's been raining constantly and very heavily, so the flu has been on the rise. A good portion of people are starting to get sick from viruses. This poses a problem: we can't treat someone in that state. For their sake, ours, and the other patients' well-being. Therefore, it's best to wait until the illness passes and then begin the appropriate treatment. Usually, extractions and root canals are more delicate and complex treatments. So today we had those two cases, and they finally successfully completed those treatments after the waiting period.
Algunos pacientes llegaron para hacerse algunos tratamientos que tenían pendientes pero que por motivos personales de la doctora o de ellos, no pudieron ser atendidos. Aquí en la ciudad ha estado lloviendo de forma constante y muy intensamente, por lo que las gripes se han desatado. Una buena parte de las personas comienzan a enfermar por virus. Eso trae un problema y es que no se puede atender a alguien en ese estado. Por su bien, el de nosotros y también de los demás pacientes. Por lo que es adecuado esperar a que pase la enfermedad y ahí si comenzar con el tratamiento indicado. Usualmente exodoncias y endodoncias, que son tratamientos mas delicados y complejos. Por lo que hoy tuvimos esos dos casos y ya finalmente ellas salieron satisfactoriamente de esos tratamientos luego del tiempo de espera.
Then we met with our family members, who were coming to finish a treatment, and another of them for a cleaning. As I mentioned above, it's always enjoyable to work, and it's even more so when you feel capable of caring for your own family in these cases. Although one of them wasn't sick, she simply needed a dental cleaning, and that's one of my favorite parts of being an assistant. It's satisfying to be able to have that position to lend a hand and also laugh a little at the stories we spin along the way. Today, finally, after a long day at work, I came home to eat, rest, get some exercise, and continue this post for you.
Luego coincidimos con nuestros familiares, los cuales venían a finalizar un tratamiento y otra de ellas a una limpieza. Cómo comenté arriba, siempre es agradable trabajar y lo es aún más cuando te sientes capaz de atender a tu propia familia en estos casos. Aunque una de ellas no estaba enferma, simplemente necesitaba de una limpieza dental y esa es una de mis partes favoritas de ser asistente. Es satisfactorio poder tener ese puesto para dar una mano a ellos y además, reír un poco con los cuentos que uno va tejiendo en el camino. Hoy finalmente luego de una jornada larga de trabajo, llegué a casa para comer, descansar,hacer algo de ejercicio y continuar está publicación para ustedes.
