Hi everyone in this community! I hope you're having a great day. Let me share our first time exploring Manila Ocean Park. It was our first visit, so let’s see what we were able to discover and explore there.
We’re back in Manila after spending our holidays on the beautiful island of Siquijor, and we were both thinking about what to do in the city so we wouldn’t just stay inside the hotel. My boyfriend actually created a plan or itinerary before we arrived. Our first stop was Manila Ocean Park.
I know it sounds silly, but yes, I’ve been living in Manila for many years and I had never visited it before. It’s actually not just for kids — it’s for adults too!
It was a gloomy afternoon when we visited this place. We arrived safe and sound, and there wasn’t much of a line to buy tickets. You can actually choose what you want to explore since they offer different attractions, like the bird show with the sea lion, the biodome, and the digital room — if I remember correctly. After we paid, we walked straight to the bird show since it was starting in a few minutes.
We lined up again to go inside and found our seats. At first, I thought there were only a few people since it was a weekday, but suddenly more and more people started coming in. There were kids from a school, probably on a group tour, and families who also wanted to spend their time there.
Then the show started. Everyone had fun because they could see the very smart, well-trained birds and the sea lions, which caught the audience’s attention because they were so cute and clever at following instructions. At the end of the show, everyone applauded and enjoyed it very much.
Then we moved on to the next stop, the Biodome. There, you can see different species such as birds, iguanas, crocodiles, and many more. It was really interesting to see. By the way, it’s not a guided tour, so you can explore on your own.
So we just followed the signs and explored the place as much as we could. We saw different species of fish, and it felt like we were inside a big aquarium, exploring and seeing different kinds of underwater animals. It was such a fun experience.
We then continued exploring until we reached the nocturnal animals section and the end of the tour. We had so much fun there, and the entrance fee was definitely worth it because there were so many things to see and explore. Both kids and adults can appreciate nature and animals, which are important to human life.
We were lucky to experience this, and it was a good decision. Before going back to our hotel, we ate at one of the restaurants in the Mall of Asia. Then we headed back to our hotel to rest.
I hope you enjoyed this story as well, and I’ll catch you in my next blog.
