Hello there! It's me, Mae!
I hope you all are doing well. Yesterday was my dad’s birthday, and even though it wasn’t a big or grand celebration, it was one of those days that just felt really warm and special. We started the day early because my dad wanted to cook. He prepared a pig’s head and a whole chicken, and the smell around the house was so good! You could already tell it was going to be a happy family day.
As the food was cooking, our relatives from my father’s side started to arrive one by one. The house slowly filled with laughter and stories. It’s always nice when everyone gets together again—there’s something about family gatherings that just makes everything feel lighter.
When everything was ready, we all gathered around the table and started eating. The food was delicious, and everyone was enjoying every bite. Of course, it wouldn’t be complete without taking some pictures! My dad took a photo with his father, and honestly, that moment melted my heart. My grandpa is already 93 years old, but he never misses my dad’s birthday. Every year, he’s always there to celebrate with us, and seeing them together like that is really touching. It’s something I’ll always remember.
After eating, the atmosphere became even more fun. The adults continued chatting while I played with my toddler cousins. They’re so cute and full of energy—it’s impossible not to smile when they’re around. We laughed, ran around, and just enjoyed being together.
What I love most about that day is that even though it wasn’t a fancy celebration—no big decorations or loud music—it was full of happiness. Sometimes, it’s the simple ones that turn out to be the most meaningful. We had good food, laughter, and the people we love. That’s all that really matters.
As the day ended, I looked at my dad and saw how happy he was. You could tell he felt loved and appreciated. And for me, that’s what birthdays are really about—not the number of gifts or how big the party is, but being surrounded by the people who make you feel at home.
It might have been a simple day, but it was full of love, laughter, and memories worth keeping. Every year may pass, but what stays the same is how our family always comes together to celebrate. And that’s something I’ll always be grateful for.
To my dad,
Happy birthday! Thank you for always being there for us and for everything you do for our family. You may not say much, but your love and care always show through your actions. I’m so grateful to celebrate another year with you and see how happy you are surrounded by the people who love you most. I wish you more birthdays to come, good health, and endless happiness. No matter how simple the celebration is, it’s always special because it’s with you. We love you so much!
Hoping to see you all again! Bye bye! ❤️
