Hello hivers its me again. I want to share something simple but very calming that happened just a while ago. Around 1 pm, me and my friend decided to visit a lake here in South Cebu. This lake is not famous and most people do not even know it exists. Some locals call it the secret lake because it is hidden in a quiet place and you really need to know the way to find it.
There are no big signs, no tourist spots nearby, and no official name. It is just a quiet place surrounded by trees, rocks, and clear water. Maybe that is why people like to call it the secret lake.
The moment we arrived, I felt relaxed right away. The lake was very clean and still. The water had a green reflection because of all the trees around it. It looked calm and peaceful. When the wind passed by, small ripples formed on the surface and it made everything look even more beautiful. I also noticed small fishes swimming near the edge of the water. They were tiny, but seeing them made the place feel more alive. It is nice to know that the water is clean enough for them to live there.
My friend sat on the rocks near the lake while I walked around to look for good views to take pictures of. The rocks were big and smooth, and they felt nice to sit on. The air was fresh and cool even though it was already the afternoon. You could hear nothing but the sound of water and the soft movement of the trees. No cars, no noise, no people talking loudly. Just nature. It felt like a perfect place to rest your mind.
Since this place is not well known, there were no other people when we arrived. It felt like we were the only ones who discovered it. I think that is what makes it special. Sometimes the best places are the ones that are not crowded, the ones that are simple, quiet, and natural.
I took a lot of pictures of the lake, the trees, and the view of the mountains around it. Every corner looked nice. The colors were soft and green, and the water looked like glass when it was still.
We just sat there for a while, not talking too much. Sometimes you do not need a lot of words when the view is already calming. Just being there feels enough.
The trees around the lake were tall and thick. Some of them even had roots reaching down into the water. It looked natural and untouched. There were also parts of the lake where the water went deeper and darker. When I looked at those parts, it felt mysterious, like the lake had stories that no one knew. Maybe that is another reason why people call it the secret lake. It feels hidden and mysterious but also calm and inviting.
We stayed there until around 3 pm. So we spent almost three hours just enjoying the place. It did not feel long. Time went by fast because we were so relaxed. We talked a little about life, about random things, and about how peaceful the place was. We also watched the small waves move whenever the wind blew. It was simple but very refreshing.
Sometimes all you need is a quiet spot like this to clear your thoughts. I am really thankful that we found this place.
I also wanted to share the views with you guys because places like this deserve to be seen, even if only through pictures. The lake may not be famous, and it may not be a big tourist destination, but it has a natural beauty that makes you feel peaceful the moment you arrive. Sometimes the best places are the ones that stay hidden. They keep their calm atmosphere because not a lot of people visit them.
Maybe next time, I will visit again and stay longer. But for now, I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story of our trip. I will share more simple moments with you soon.
