I know today has been one of the most stressful days for me but this is what we do for the people we love, my brother will be getting married soon and we decided to hit the market and get some fabrics for the occasion, I am in charge of the family attire and this is a lot of work.
I called one of my friends who is very conversant about this market and I spoke with her on the phone to be of help, she is very kind and always ready to help, we fixed a day which is today because I am always free, no work for me today so we decided to visit the market and know the prices of somethings and how to get the ones we can afford.
Trying to buy fabrics for over 20 people is not an easy task, we walked every corner of the market to find the ones that were beautiful and fit for the day, most of my siblings insisted that I must share every sample with them on WhatsApp and allow them to make their choices before paying, I had to be snapping every sample I see and send to the WhatsApp family group, this isn't easy at all.
On my way going to the market
I got to the park as early as 7 am and I had to wait for my friend for about 45 minutes, this got me so furious because I told her while leaving the house and she chose our meeting point but yet she delayed us while waiting it started raining and this part was so annoying, I had to run from the rain by staying under the overhead bridge for the rain to calm down but fortunately it doesn't rain for long.
I haven't been stressing like this, why did everyone choose me? Is it because I am the closest person to my brother or because I am the last born? Making choices for over 20 people is a bit stressful for me today, they all declined most of the fabrics I picked which I see was okay for me, all of them turned it down, and then I had to move from one store to the other just to satisfy everyone.
Spent all my day in the market when I was supposed to rest but my brother worth more than that to me, I never regret doing anything for him, getting married to someone he loved is my greatest Joy, I am one of the wedding planners because we have been planning this wedding for the past three months.
We got to the market and it was a bit dry because today was not the market day, one thing about the market day is that you get different varieties, but still the same price nothing changes, we did a market survey and I snapped so many pictures and sent to our family Whatsapp group and layer they decided to go with this navy blue fabric which is beautiful and the cool is so cool, now we can pair this color with sky blue headtie and the color will come out perfect.
It was so exhausting and I came back home around 7:30 in the evening because of traffic, this is a whole lot of journey and I am not sure I will try this next time, this is how I spent my day roaming around the market to get a befitting fabric for the family for my brother's wedding occasion.
