How I Spent My Val’s Day.

I woke up today feeling energized and ready to work. I always dedicate my Saturdays to my catfish, as there is always something to do. For today, I decided to drain all the ponds, but systematically, so I could have an idea of how long it would take me. I have a total of 6 standard ponds and 4 small ponds. I did not drain 2 ponds (1 small and 1 standard) because they contain my newly hatched catfish, which are constantly experiencing what we call a flow-through.

I started draining 2 standard ponds, which also allowed me to see the catfish sizes and decide when to sort them next. From my own perspective, I believe that those catfish in the two ponds are growing well, and I was quite impressed with their growth. Then I moved on to another 2 standard ponds, and they were also doing well, and in fact, I was very pleased seeing them.

Now, all this started from 7 am, and I was able to change all their water by 2 pm. It was a lot of work, and I quickly refreshed and looked for what to eat. All this was possible because I had a Solar pump, and I was really happy with the decision I made regarding installing it, and I also appreciate my friend for encouraging me to make that move. I look forward to when he will install his own and how relieved he will feel. This was how I spent my day.
