Writing has been a passion for me and I don't think I would be able to go a day without writing. I started writing in 2016 but never earn via my write-up. Thanks to technology and the internet I found a way to put my writing to the world and not just that, I could earn from it.

The economy of my country has been so bad, and the inflation of market prices has been so hard to bare. People who earn little hardly eat three times daily and those who work daily to find what they would eat, eat once a day. I'm not here to tell you about how bad the economy in my country is but about the new Job I got as an assistant to a truck driver.

I just finished my Higher National Diploma in a polytechnic and not I don't want to seat and get wasted at home doing nothing. Though I write on readcash and Hive the income I'm getting still isn't enough to help me with my day-to-day life and I don't want to go around asking for funds from my mom or my dad whenever I need basic things guy is meant to have. I met with a friend whose dad owned a truck Job and he decided to fix me into a place so I can work and get paid too.

The first day I went there was just a learning experience for me. Though I have been there before but since I left for school, a lot has changed and some drivers have been replaced. There is a place all the drivers wait, it was like a pub. They wait there until there is a call for work before they move

I studied them and I began the job the next day. One fact about the job is that the drivers are not ready to teach you what to do, you will learn everything through experience. How does the job works?

There is a steel company that lacks trucks that help them dump their waste and that's where our trucks come in. We are given paper to go in. My friend's dad has 5 trucks and per trip of each truck he gets $34 or more and from that, he pays the driver and the motor boy which is the role I'm playing. The driver gets $7+ per trip while the assistant gets $4+ per trip too. The trucks are 5 in number which means if we go every day we would run on profit.

Human nature will always fight back when it comes to money. If we go 2 or 3 trips a day, both the driver and the assistant would have enough money for the day but sometimes the driver would want to keep all the money to themselves and sideline the assistant.

The advantage

If one is diligent in the work they do, they would make a profit that's just how my job is. Once you know the right contractors to meet, there is a guarantee you would work for that day. It is less stressful because all I have to do is sit and relax until we are contacted and our truck is needed. I'm enjoying the job because it gives me more time to be online and do what I do best on hive and read.cash. That way I'm making income in two ways.

#Disadvantage
The drivers aren't serious about their job most time, when they work 3 to 4 times in a week, they lose the morale to want to work more. Sometimes the contractor contacts another truck to do their job which will leave us jobless for the day.

Though the advantage is more than the disadvantage for me which is why I love the Job. This doesn't mean if I see a better offer I won't go for it.
