Shaky terrible photo my friend took near his house at the eye of the storm after everything calmed down.

For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.
And well, today was proof that Newton was right, because we sure as hell got that opposite reaction.
After days and days of scorching heat, where my fan turned useless and having a broken AC turned into my death sentence, we finally got some rain...
Well, some is an understatement, a severe understatement.
I wish I had pictures of when I saw this thing coming. I live in the coast and we're usually the last ones to get storms since most of the time they come westward, it was an immense wall of dark clouds. No rain, just imposing darkness, it wasn't scary, I actually like rain, but I know how much a storm can break things, specially for those who are less fortunate, and I knew this one wasn't going to be just a drizzle (I mean, look at that!)
Due to my declining mental health, my dad has decided to take me places. Places that might help. I don't always agree, but I go anyway, if it makes him happy, I'm happy, and hey, that's helping.
He wanted to take me to a preacher, apparently catholic, not really a church, more of a speech/conversation type of thing. Sounded interesting, so I agreed to go.
The storm started early in the afternoon, he sent me this from his office at 17:30
"The trucks at the interstate are all stopped already, you can't even see the cars."
"Shit's going down." - Classic dad on this one
This is how things looked in our region (Greater Criciúma) when he sent me that video.
But we thought to ourselves "Hey, maybe the storm can calm down and we'll be able to go."
And it sure seemed that way.
I guess nature likes to pull pranks on you.
Right as we were about to leave, things looked like this, we're in the green, clouds were leaving, rain was really just a drizzle now.
We got in the car, left my little brother with my grandma, since we didn't really want to take a kid out to a speech so he could shout about not having a phone to play Minecraft or whatever on.
Then we hit the road! Everything was smooth sailing, right?
Literally 20 minutes later
Yeaaaah... That's a curveball. A damn boomerang.
Dad took a roundabout and we went back to pick up my little bro. I recorded a short video inside the car to show just how bad it was.
Then we got home a couple minutes later and it's 21:51 as I write this, the irony just never stops...
Green. Verde. 緑. Grün.
Again.
I'm not angry, it just seems like an elaborate prank by the universe.
Tomorrow the temperatures seem set to rise all the way to the 30's and above again, which most likely means more storms coming. It's annoying, but what can you do? Summer is just like this.
All the mosquitos, the weird unbearable weather and all these tourists clogging up our roads (ok, they drive our economy, can't complain much).
Personally can't wait for winter. I'll see if I can drive up the Serra again this year. Maybe build a snowman!
Thanks for reading, I'm just tired. Time to sleep.
