Good evening to all Hive friends. Last Sunday, we went on a special trip to the Boowa Rajamaha Vihara, and it felt like a wonderful excursion for both the children and the adults. The temple, surrounded by green trees, fresh air, and the peaceful sounds of nature, was a serene and beautiful place. It provided the perfect setting for us to spend a joyful day together.

As we arrived, the first sight was the tall Bodhi tree, its branches spread wide like a giant umbrella. Many of us sat beneath it, enjoying the cool shade and listening to the gentle rustle of the leaves. The children were excited to walk around the temple grounds, happily running about, yet they also learned to remain quiet and respectful within the sacred areas.
We then walked towards the stupa, shining brightly under the sunlight. The children offered flowers, lit incense sticks, and learned how people show respect in a Buddhist temple. It was a peaceful moment, and everyone joined together in a short prayer.
Afterward, we found a shady spot under some big trees to sit down and open our picnic baskets. There were fruits, sandwiches, and homemade snacks to share. The children enjoyed playing simple games, like running races and ball games, while the adults watched and laughed along. The natural surroundings made everything feel even more joyful.
Before leaving, we took a small walk around the temple grounds, noticing birds, butterflies, and even some squirrels. It was like a little adventure in nature, full of discovery and happiness.
Our visit to dowa Raja Maha Vihara turned out to be more than just a picnic—it was a day of learning, playing, and being together in a peaceful place. The children returned home with smiles, stories, and memories that will last a long time.
