Growing up, i don't remember dressing up for Halloween. Our Halloween tradition is simple: go to cemetery at lunch on Nov 1st. It was only when i started my corporate job that Ive got to experience dressing up for Halloween. And i have to admit, dressing up is fun too.
This year, i dress up as Mulan. Not many of my friends know this, but i like wearing traditional costumes and going to temples because there's something so calming about it that i enjoy.
This year's theme is about change and empowerment. I admire Mulan because she is strong willed who stands up for what she believes in despite going against everyone. I aspire to be like her in real life too. One good thing about Halloween costumes is that you can choose to be whoever you want to be for a day. How cool is that?
We also prepared candies and chocolates in the office for a little trick or treat. Kids of our office mates are welcome to join us too.
Last year, our theme was Squid Game, another favorite series of mine. I find this show very motivational and inspiring, so i agreed to be one of the body guards in red. That's me on the left, by the way.
In the future, i hope to join Halloween parties and dress up in my favorite costumes. I also want to experience going to Horror booths and watch horror movies only to scare myself even more hahaha.
