Happy New Year 2025 to everyone, I sincerely hope it will be very special and bring only good things for all the people who read me, mainly peace, health and work. It is good to wish all this, but it is much better when we focus on building it. Let's not wait for things to come by themselves, let's go out and look for them with a positive attitude and you will notice the change. Today I don't have much to say, just to tell you about the little meeting we had a few hours ago. For the first time I received the year in the company of my wife, and at the same time my mother's company was not missing.
I can't say that my mom and I had a bad time a year ago on the first Christmas we spent without my dad and my brother, although the latter is because of his new job that made him work that night, and yesterday he also had to welcome the year working. That is not the most ideal thing for a family that has just lost a relative, but we have not lacked company, although nothing has ever been the same again. But my wife and her family are my new family too, and I love them all. It was a very humble gathering, but there was warmth of home, love and lots of tasty food to bless and share in anticipation of 2025.
My mom didn't feel like leaving the house, but the best thing we could do was to celebrate with friends or other relatives, besides, this would be the first New Year's Eve without my father-in-law, and I think the best idea was to get together, and we are all sad at heart. Anyway my wife and I were in the company of our mothers, my brother-in-law and his wife and two beautiful children, my nephews ❤️ boy do children make a difference in Christmas and New Year, because there was no time to be sad with so many tremendous things from that couple. Still they make me question if I want to have kids to run around happily in my living room or if I should watch my brother-in-law's kids run around eventually hahaha.
Dinner was delicious, as always. There is no way not to enjoy the New Year's Eve banquets, no matter which house I am in. I love that in my country everything is so traditional and at the same time every house has a special touch. These hallacas were made by my wife, I only put my money hahaha, but yesterday I made a delicious salad with my mom that we took to my mother-in-law's house. My sister in law made a spectacular chicken and I couldn't miss my favorite, the ham bread, in fact I'm dying to finish writing this post and go get my corresponding ham bread the morning of the first of January, but my obsession with Hive makes me be here and give a digital new year's hug to all my friends and all those who read me. It's going to be a great year for everyone, you'll remember my words 😉
