Since we were teenagers, my sister and I have enjoyed going downtown to spend the day at the celebrations of sexual diversity. This celebration is always very joyful: there is music, live bands, people in a good mood and comfortably celebrating their identity. I like all that atmosphere, so this year I did not hesitate to attend again, and this time, we took our little sister and her friends with us 😃.
Desde que éramos adolescentes, mi hermana y yo disfrutamos ir al centro para pasar el día de las celebraciones de la diversidad sexual. Esta celebración siempre es muy alegre: hay música, bandas en vivo, gente de buen humor y celebrando cómodamente su identidad. Me gusta todo ese ambiente, así que este año no dudé en volver a asistir, y esta vez, llevamos a nuestra hermanita y a sus amigas con nosotras 😃.
From my house, it took us almost 2 hours to get there. We do not live so close to the center, so we have to take a train and then a bus. The day was quite hot, summer is approaching here, so we loaded our backpacks with some bottles of water and started our journey.
Desde mi casa, tardamos casi 2 horas en llegar allí. No vivimos tan cerca del centro, por lo que debemos tomar un tren y luego un colectivo. El día estaba bastante caluroso, ya se acerca el verano por aquí, por lo que cargamos nuestras mochilas con algunas botellas con agua y emprendimos viaje.
This kind of celebration comprised a total of four blocks: there were several stands that provided information about the LGTB communities, commented on the problems they suffer from day to day and invited to participate in meetings to meet new groups of friends.
Esta especie de celebración comprendía de un total de cuatro cuadras: allí habían varios stands que brindaban información sobre las comunidades LGTB, comentaban acerca de las problemáticas que sufren día a día e invitaban a participar de reuniones para conocer nuevos grupos de amigos.
There were also stalls where they sold food and drinks. Some of them were businesses owned by the people of the LGTB community, encouraging and promoting their independent work. In addition, they showed one of the problems of this group, which is the lack of job vacancies due to discrimination based on sexual orientation (something that in my opinion is totally absurd).
También habían puestos donde vendían comida y bebidas. Algunos de ellos eran emprendimientos propios de la gente de la comunidad LGTB, fomentando y promocionando su trabajo independiente. Además, evidenciaban una de las problemáticas de este colectivo que es la falta de cupo laboral debido a la discriminación por la orientación sexual (algo que en mi opinión es totalmente absurdo).
What I like most about this type of celebration is that there is always a lot of music. I love to dance (of course I don't do it well, but that's not a problem for me: if there's music, I dance 😅). On this occasion, several live bands appeared, also with members of the LGTB community. This seemed great to me because I had never seen a group like this before ❤️.
Lo que más me gusta de este tipo de celebración es que siempre hay mucha música. A mí me encanta bailar (por supuesto no lo hago bien, pero eso no es problema para mí: si hay música, bailo 😅). En esta oportunidad se presentaron varias bandas en vivo, también con integrantes de la comunidad LGTB. Esto me pareció genial porque nunca había visto un grupo de este estilo ❤️.
I think it is important that from a young age we are taught to respect others. And I mean it in a general sense: we should respect each other just because we are people, without discriminating against each other's personal choices. I liked that people talked to the girls, explaining things about this whole movement: they understood it perfectly ❤️.
Pienso que es importante que desde pequeños se nos enseñe a respetar a los demás. Y lo digo en un sentido general: habría que respetarnos entre nosotros solo por el hecho de ser personas, sin discriminar por las elecciones personales de cada uno. Me gustó que la gente haya hablado con las niñas, explicándoles las cosas relativas a todo este movimiento: ellas lo entendieron perfectamente ❤️.
I always say that you do not have to be the cause to support it, it is simply enough to be convinced of personal interests and with respect to all this, I will always be in favor of respect, because everyone deserves to live their life as they wish. Nobody chooses who to love or who to fall in love with, and this cannot hurt anyone, much less be judged.
Siempre digo que no hay que ser la causa para apoyarla, simplemente alcanza con estar convencido de los intereses personales y con respecto a todo esto, siempre voy a estar a favor del respeto, porque cada uno merece vivir su vida como desee. Nadie elige a quién amar ni de quien enamorarse, y esto no puede hacerle mal a nadie y mucho menos ser juzgado.
In reality, this celebration was only a pre-celebration of the true mass celebration to be held this Saturday, November 6. The main party is something like that but with much more attendance, and culminates with a parade towards the National Congress to demand more laws that defend the rights of the people. Of course we will also attend, but without children because then we want to go dancing until the evening. I am very excited about this: I want to go with a special outfit to be in tune with everyone, so I will surely work on it today. I'll share it with you soon (when I finish it 😂).
En realidad, esta celebración solo era una pre-celebración de la verdadera celebración masiva a realizarse este sábado 6 de noviembre. La fiesta principal es algo así pero con mucha más concurrencia, y culmina con un desfile hacia el Congreso de la Nación para reclamar más leyes que defiendan los derechos de las personas. Por supuesto también asistiremos, pero sin niños porque luego queremos ir a bailar hasta la noche. Estoy muy emocionada por esto: quiero ir con un outfit especial para estar a tono con todos, así que seguramente hoy trabaje en ello. Pronto lo compartiré con ustedes (cuando termine de hacerlo 😂).
