As a good, nice and cheap plan near the hostel where I'm staying, visit the city center is always a good option. In my opinion, the main advantage of the location I chose for my long-term trip is that I'm only a public transportation ride away, whether to go to the beautiful mountains or to go see some urbanization. On the days when I needed to rest my legs after so much trekking, my idea was to go see what else I could find to do and museums always ended up being a good plan ❤️.
Como plan bueno, bonito y barato cerca del hostel en donde me hospedo, ir al centro de la ciudad siempre resulta una buena opción. En mi opinión, la principal ventaja que representa la ubicación que elegí para mi viaje de estadía prolongada es que estoy solo a un trasporte público de distancia, tanto para ir a las hermosas montañas o para ir a ver un poco de urbanización. En los días en los que necesitaba descansar las piernas después de tanto trekking, mi idea era ir a ver qué más encontraba para hacer y los museos siempre terminaban siendo un buen plan ❤️.
The largest number of events and cultural centers in the province of San Juan are concentrated in the surroundings of Parque de Mayo, the largest green space in the city. In this area you can find theaters, auditoriums, sports centers, shops and museums. One of the museums that I wanted to visit because it had been recommended to me was the Franklin Rawson, right in front of the park and with a bus that drops you off in front 😃.
La mayor cantidad de eventos y centros culturales de la provincia de San Juan se concentra en los alrededores del Parque de Mayo, el espacio verde más grande de la ciudad. En esta zona se pueden encontrar teatros, auditorios, centros de deportes, locales comerciales y museos. Uno de los museos que quería visitar porque me lo habían recomendado era el Franklin Rawson, justo enfrente del parque y con un colectivo que te dejaba enfrente 😃.
Unlike other museums I visited, this one had a small entrance fee of 200 ARS ($0.2). This price did not seem expensive at all and seemed adequate to be able to afford this place. When we entered the museum everything was very nice, and there were several rooms with different exhibitions to visit ❤️.
A diferencia de otros museos que visité, este tenía una pequeña tarifa de entrada de 200 ARS ($0.2). Este precio no me pareció nada caro y me pareció adecuado para poder solventar este lugar. Cuando entramos al museo todo era muy lindo, y había varias salas con exposiciones diferentes para ir a visitar ❤️.
Some exhibitions were permanent and others temporary, but all had the same level of interest. This museum offers guided tours, but I had arrived a little after hours that day, so I had to visit the five rooms of the museum on my own. In these rooms you could find everything, from paintings to sculptures made of different materials, and even archaeological finds 😃.
Algunas exposiciones eran permanentes y otras temporales, pero todas tenían el mismo nivel de interés. Este museo ofrece visitas guiadas, pero ese día había llegado un poco fuera de horario, por lo que tuve que visitar las cinco salas del museo por mi cuenta. En estas salas podías encontrar de todo, desde cuadros hasta esculturas de distintos materiales, e incluso hallazgos arqueológicos 😃.
One of the rooms I liked the most was one that had samples of current technology. The two representations that caught my attention the most were those in these photos. One pretended to be a school room all with screens, which at first may seem a little futuristic but actually represents current reality since almost all of us are connected to this type of devices. The other work represented an earthquake detector, but feminist poems came out of it 😃.
Una de las salas que más me gustó era una que tenía muestras de tecnología actual. Las dos representaciones que más me llamaron la atención fueron las de estas fotos. Una simulaba ser un salón escolar todo con pantallas, que al principio puede parecer un poco futurista pero que en verdad reprensenta la realidad actual ya que casi todos estamos conectados a este tipo de dispositivos. La otra obra representaba un detector de sismos, pero que de él salían poemas feministas 😃.
Another of the rooms I saw had a theme more related to death perhaps, but in an aesthetic way: there were bones everywhere, skulls and representations of people, but far from being a gloomy place it was very bright. I also quite liked this one 😃.
Otra de las salas que ví tenía una temática más relacionada a la muerte quizás, pero de una forma estética: habían huesos por todos lados, calaveras y reprensentaciones de personas, pero lejos de ser un lugar lúgubre era muy iluminado. Este también me gustó bastante 😃.
On my tour of this museum I saw several interesting things, and another of them was a small square room full of these portraits of people. The funny thing was that no matter where you were standing in the room, these paintings stared back at you. I know there are people who are scared of this, but it only disturbed me a little 😅.
En el recorrido por este museo vi varias cosas interesantes, y otra de ellas fue una pequeña sala cuadrada llena de estos retratos de personas. Lo curioso era que sin importar desde que punto de la habitación estuvieras parado, estas pinturas te miraban fijamente. Sé que hay personas a las que les da miedo esto, pero a mi solo me perturbó un poco 😅.
What always surprises me about art is all the creative work behind it. I find the imagination and ingenuity to put together works that may seem interesting to people and transmit a message, feeling or reflection incredible. I was glad to have chosen this museum to go and spend some time and see these works, but above all, to have known one more little corner within this beautiful province ❤️.
Lo que siempre me sorprende del arte es todo el trabajo de creación que hay detrás. Me parece increíble la imaginación y el ingenio para montar obras que puedan parecerles interesantes a las personas y transmitir algún mensaje, sentimiento o reflexión. Me alegré de haber elegido este museo para ir a pasar un rato y ver estos trabajos, pero por sobre todo, haber conocido un rinconcito más dentro de esta linda provincia ❤️.
