Hello, my dear Hive friends! I hope this blog finds you all in good health, full of energy, and always under the protection of our Creator. I’m back again to share my daily story, though I missed posting yesterday because of my scheduled errands and important activities outside. Life sometimes pulls us away from our usual routines, but that’s what makes each day worth documenting. So today, let me walk you through everything I did yesterday, a journey that started early in the morning and stretched until late evening, filled with bus rides, long walks, queues, and even a few unexpected little discoveries.
Early Start: From Pandi to Metro Manila
Yesterday began with me dressing up and leaving the house as early as 7:00 AM. I headed straight to the Pandi P2P Bus Terminal, where only a few passengers were waiting. Because of that, we had to stay for about 30 minutes before the bus finally departed. The ride itself took almost two hours, and as the bus rolled into Metro Manila, I couldn’t help but feel a mix of nostalgia and excitement. It had been months since I last set foot in the city.
Stepping out of the bus, I needed to transfer to another ride near Landmark Mall. After that second bus trip, I decided to walk along EDSA instead of taking a motorcycle taxi. It’s been a while since I did long-distance walking, so I thought, “Why not take this chance?” While walking, I snapped a few photos of the road and cars; small but meaningful documentation for this blog. The walk took me about 20 minutes before I finally reached the Starmall EDSA-Shaw jeepney terminal.
First Stop: PAG-IBIG Office
My first important errand was at the PAG-IBIG Office, where I needed to update my personal information and file for my MP2 claims. The process wasn’t quick. I spent more than two hours waiting in line. But patience is part of adulting, right? Once everything was settled, I felt relieved knowing that I had completed one of my major tasks for the day.
Second Stop: ATM Card Replacement
From Starmall, I rode a jeepney to EDSA Shangri-La Plaza for my second errand: replacing my expired ATM cards. Both of my cards had already expired, so this was a must-do. The transaction went smoothly, though it also took almost two hours because of the long queue of clients. Afterward, I strolled around the mall for a few minutes to relax.
While wandering, I noticed a poster filled with astrological illustrations. Since I was born in the Year of the Tiger, I couldn’t resist taking a photo of that particular section. It felt like a small but personal highlight of my day.
Back on Foot: Ortigas Bus Carousel
After finishing at the bank, I walked again along EDSA toward the Ortigas Bus Carousel Station. To reach the platform, I had to climb the footbridge. Thankfully, there was an elevator, so I lined up and waited my turn. Below the footbridge was the bus station, and soon enough, I boarded the bus bound for Trinoma.
Late Lunch at Trinoma
By the time I arrived at Trinoma Mall, I was already starving. I quickly grabbed a late lunch to recharge before heading home. After eating, I walked for a few minutes to the P2P Bus Terminal bound for Pandi. As expected, the trip took almost two hours again.
Finally, I arrived home in the evening around 8:00 PM, tired but satisfied. My furbaby, Cardo the Chow Chow, greeted me warmly. After feeding him, he quickly fell asleep. Probably because he hadn’t rested well while I was away. Seeing him peacefully dozing off was the perfect way to end my long day.
That was my entire story yesterday; a day filled with travel, errands, and little discoveries along the way. It reminded me that even routine tasks can become memorable when we take the time to notice the details, whether it’s the view along EDSA, a poster in the mall, or the simple joy of coming home to a beloved pet.
More importantly, it made me reflect on how we balance responsibilities and personal time. Errands are necessary, but they can be exhausting. What keeps them meaningful is finding small joys in between, like taking photos while walking, appreciating art in a mall, or savoring a quick meal before heading home. At the end of the day, it’s not just about finishing tasks, but also about how we experience the journey itself.
Thank you, my Hive friends, for reading my blog today. I appreciate your time and support, and I look forward to sharing more daily stories with you. Until next time, may you all stay safe, healthy, and inspired!
