Hola, Queridos Hivers!
Ayer me escapé para la Tahona! Jejeje
Desde hace varios domingos ya, he estado yendo a cantar con un coro de la iglesia a la que voy. Todos los domingos cantamos la misa de las 5pm aquí en San José del Ávila, pero les surgió una invitación para cantar en la iglesia de la Tahona, debido a la visita especial del Nazareno de San Pablo, que es una imagen muy famosa y especial aquí en Caracas.
Yo al principio no tenía pensado ir, ya que soy nueva y no conozco muy bien el repertorio, pero el director me insistió, y me convenció de ir.
Al principio tenía algo de miedo, pero como con Dios siempre sale todo bien... Todo salió bien!
Los otros integrantes del coro son muy agradables, y a pesar de que no los conozco mucho, pude divertirme igual. No me sentí ni apartada ni nada, de hecho, me pasé el viaje con otra soprano y fue muy divertido!
Cuando llegamos, inmediatamente vimos al nazareno, pues lo estaban cargando camino a la iglesia. Y que linda imagen!
Fue especial estar allí para cantarle, me sentí privilegiada por eso.
Esperamos un rato ensayando, y cuando se hizo la hora de la misa que ibamos a cantar, entramos al templo y nos acomodamos.
Gracias a mis clases de lenguaje musical, pude cantar la mayoría de las piezas a punta de lectura sin ningún problema. Excepto unas como el Vere Languores que ya son piezas más difíciles.
Lamentablemente no pude escuchar el sermón del padre a cargo de la misa, ya que su micrófono no se escuchaba lo suficientemente fuerte, pero igual pude orar por mi cuenta y agradecer por la oportunidad de estar allí.
Al terminar la misa, vimos al nazareno más de cerca dentro de la iglesia, luego nos dieron un sabroso refrigerio, y al terminar allí, le pedí a María (mi amiga soprano) que me acompañara a comprar unos collares que estaban vendiendo en la entrada.
Hermosos! Tenían collares, pulseras, estampitas, rosarios, etc. Del Niño Divino, del Nazareno, de la Virgen de Guadalupe, y muchos más!
Yo compré dos collarcitos del nazareno, uno para mi mami y otro para mi, y también una estampita del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús, para que me cuide y me acompañe siempre! 🙏🏼
Después de eso tomamos muchas fotos en los alrededores del templo.
Y ya al rato nos fuimos.
Me divertí mucho. De verdad disfruté mucho ese día y me alegró mucho haber aceptado la invitación.

Yesterday I escaped to La Tahona! Hehehe
For several Sundays now, I've been going to sing with a choir from the church I attend. Every Sunday we sing the 5 p.m. Mass here in San José del Ávila, but they got an invitation to sing at La Tahona Church, due to the special visit of the Nazarene of San Pablo, which is a very famous and special image here in Caracas.
At first, I wasn't planning on going, since I'm new and don't know the repertoire very well, but the director insisted and convinced me to go.
At first, I was a little afraid, but as with God, everything always works out... Everything turned out well!
The other members of the choir are very nice, and even though I don't know them very well, I was still able to have fun. I didn't feel left out or anything; in fact, I spent the whole trip with another soprano, and it was a lot of fun!
When we arrived, we immediately saw the Nazarene, as he was being carried on the way to the church. And what a beautiful sight!
It was special to be there to sing for him; I felt privileged for that.
We waited a while rehearsing, and when it was time for the Mass we were going to sing, we entered the church and settled in.
Thanks to my music language classes, I was able to sing most of the pieces by reading without any problem. Except for some, like Vere Languores, which are more difficult pieces.
Unfortunately, I couldn't hear the sermon of the priest leading the Mass because his microphone wasn't loud enough, but I was still able to pray on my own and was grateful for the opportunity to be there.
After the Mass, we saw the Nazarene up close inside the church. Then we were given a delicious snack. When we were done, I asked María (my soprano friend) to accompany me to buy some necklaces they were selling at the entrance.
Beautiful! They had necklaces, bracelets, holy cards, rosaries, etc. of the Divine Child, the Nazarene, the Virgin of Guadalupe, and many more!
I bought two Nazarene necklaces, one for my mom and one for me, and also a holy card of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, so that it may protect me and accompany me always! 🙏🏼
After that, we took lots of photos around the church.
And after a while, we left.
I had a lot of fun. I truly enjoyed that day and was so glad I accepted the invitation.
