It turns out that we were invited to attend a dance performance recently, where a friend’s daughter is part of the company. And of course, what better way to unwind and have a special day than to go to the theater? The performance was at the city’s main theater, the Teatro Milanés, where we’d all meet up and go in with the tickets we’d bought beforehand.
We were all supposed to be at the theater entrance at 3:30 p.m., so as soon as we finished lunch, we started getting ready—just to make sure we were at the right place at the right time without any delays. I didn’t have much to prepare, since I was already dressed; that morning I’d had my first genetic ultrasound for the pregnancy and everything looked great, so it was just a matter of having lunch and heading out.
My mom, my sister, and my nephews were coming along with me, along with my friend and her family, to show our support for the little girl. By 3:30 we were already there at the door, ready to go in; we went up and took our seats. The theater was beautiful as always—what can I say? Lots of lights, colors, decorations, and curtains. It was packed with people waiting for the show to start, and in the meantime, the kids were up to their usual antics, ha, ha, ha.
At four o’clock sharp, the lights went out and the curtains opened; the show had begun. Multicolored lights illuminated the stage, and the girls came out in their little outfits—it was quite a spectacle, a wonderful performance that started with the youngest and went all the way up to the oldest. The stage was flooded with costumes of every color and dances of every kind. From flamenco to ballet to Arabic dance and many others, we enjoyed them all immensely.
The troupe was made up of girls of all ages—there were so many of them—wearing costumes of all shapes and styles, depending on the type of dance they were going to perform. What can I say? It was truly a spectacular show, especially with the combination of lights and colors. In my very personal opinion, it’s thanks to the artistry and the lighting that the performance really comes to life. The kids had a blast, and honestly, so did I. It’s always exciting to have a different kind of day, and nothing beats this surprise trip to the theater.

Resulta que en estos días nos invitaron a participar en una presentación de danza, dónde la niña de una amiga forma parte de la compañía, y por supuesto, que nada para despejar y hacer un día diferente, que hacerle una visita al teatro. La presentación se haría en el teatro principal de ciudad, el teatro Milanés, dónde nos reuniríamos todos y entraríamos con las invitaciones ya compradas previamente.
Teníamos que estar todos en la entrada del teatro a las 3 y 30 de la tarde así que desde que almorzamos nos empezamos a preparar, cosa de estar en el lugar indicado a la hora establecida sin retrasos. Yo no tenía mucho que preparar, pues ya estaba hasta vestida, ya que en la mañana había tenido mi primer ultrasonido de genética del embarazo y todo se veía muy bien, así que fue solo almorzar y salir.
Para allá me acompañaría mi mamá, mi hermana y mis sobrinos, además de la amiga y su familia a darle nuestro apoyo a la pequeña. A las 3 y 30 ya estábamos allí en la puerta listos para entrar, subimos y nos sentamos en nuestros respectivos asientos. El teatro estaba hermoso como siempre, que les puedo decir, muchas luces, colores, adornos y cortinas, estaba repleto de personas esperando que comenzara la función, y mientras tanto, los niños haciendo de las de ellos ha, ha, ha.
A las cuatro en punto se apagaron las luces y se abrieron las cortinas, ya había comenzado la función, una magia de multicolores iluminaron el escenario y salieron las niñas con sus trajecitos, era todo un espectáculo, una maravillosa presentación que comenzó desde las más pequeñas hasta las más grandes. El escenario se inundó de trajes de todos los colores y bailes de todos los tipos. Desde flamenco, ballet, danza árabe entre muchas otras más, de los cuales disfrutamos mucho.
La compañía estaba compuesta por niñas de todas las edades, eran muchísimas, y con trajes de todas las formas y modelos según la modalidad del baile que fueran a presentar. Que les puedo decir, la verdad era todo un espectáculo y más con la combinación de luces y colores, creo en mi opinión muy particular, que gracias al arte y las luces, el trato es que cobra vida. Los niños lo disfrutaron muchísimo y yo la verdad también. Siempre es muy emocionante tener un día diferente, y nada mejor que está visita sorpresa al teatro.
