As the holidays are over and kids are back in school, everyone is busy looking for ways and means to ensure their kids are comfortable in school.
It’s a relief to some parents that schools have reopened as some kids are very troublesome. My kid sister is not an exception.😄
She got these braids when school resumed and it’s been about two weeks now. Looks quite old so we needed to do something about it since she can’t go to school looking like this.
You see the scar on her forehead? She got it from being troublesome in her first week of vacation. 😂
In my preparation to get her new braids I had to take it upon myself to unbraid the old one.
Doesn’t look as easy as it sounds. You know kids and complains.
Due to the Harmattan here, her hair looked quite dry and so unbraiding was difficult. It had to be done so.
So fell asleep in the process and that was a relief for me since I was now able to unbraid without any complains.
It took us over an hour to get it done. It was really stressful.
After unbraiding we now had to wash the hair since it was dirty. It was a quick process as she knew the routine.
This is her looking all pretty after.
Now , my part was done. It was time for my mom to do what she does best which is braiding. I’m starting to think I’m weird cos it seems I’m the only one in my family who doesn’t know how to braid. I just don’t know my way around hair. Not even mine.
But on the brighter side I’m good at other stuff. I guess we are all special in our own way.
My mom is the one who braids for my siblings and I and so she decided on simple but beautiful braids.
My job was to give emotional support since I was of no use again.
After an hour or so we were finally done. What a relief!
This is lil Miss looking like 10/10 minus zero.😂
The best thing about getting new braids is that you get to look nice and show off but the worst part about it is the forehead.😂
One reason I don’t like getting new braids is because of my forehead. I think it’s quite a sight and people make fun of me sometimes but I know it’s pretty.
In all, I’m glad I helped to give my little sister a new look. She deserves it and more. After all, what are big sisters for?
Thank you for passing by and I hope you enjoyed reading this.🫶🏻
