The Noxsoma Chronicles [0121]
01-19-2026 … Day 23701 (Good Moonday Lunatics)
No Virus Philosophy in Real Life & Practice.
This is a personal chronicle. Your experiences will no doubt vary. This is not medical advice. It’s not medical information. It’s a journey.
It starts with a sore throat. Usually one side or the other. Left or right, near the top. In the past there has been some “swelling.” In quotes because I don’t know what else to call it. It’s slight but noticeable. It started Thursday night. Our initial intervention is extra Vitamin C [1000 mg a pop]. In the past We’ve been able to knock this out by taking literally 2,4,8000 mg of Vitamin C within 30 to 40 minutes. It won’t kill you, but you will get an unforgettable result. We were more conservative and by Saturday we were in bad shape.
[Bad shape means runny nose, sniffles and slight fatigue. No fever. No headaches and not involuntarily restricted to bed. Rest & liquids are nonetheless recommended. The more you take, the quicker the process will run its course.]
There’s the set up.
Your humble vagabond is securely in the No Virus Philosophy camp and we proceed accordingly.
The dominant theory viz a viz colds, flus and other respiratory ailments in America these days is called “Germ Theory.” Keep in mind that it’s a “theory” although the medical industry and many humans accept it as a fact. Before I go butchering up this concept, let’s just ask the Chat-bot for a short definition of Germ Theory.
Bot-speak…
Germ Theory explains why we get sick from infections. It’s the idea that tiny living organisms—called germs or microbes—like bacteria, viruses, and fungi, can invade our bodies and cause diseases.
Before this discovery, people thought sickness came from bad air or imbalances in the body. Scientists like Louis Pasteur and Robert Koch proved in the 1800s that specific germs cause specific illnesses. For example, a certain bacteria causes strep throat, and a certain virus causes the flu.
These germs are so small you need a microscope to see them. They can spread through the air, on surfaces, in food, or through direct contact. Knowing this led to lifesaving habits like handwashing, vaccines, and antibiotics, which all work to stop germs from making us sick.
Human Speak – The trouble with the preceding description is that none of what is alleged to have been proven, has been proven. Which is why it’s still called “Germ Theory.”
I could probably peck out a basic understanding of No Virus Philosophy, and I may still have to, but let’s give the bot a shot.
Bot-speak --
Here is Terrain Theory explained simply.
Terrain Theory is a different way of looking at why we get sick. Instead of focusing on germs as the main cause (like Germ Theory does), it focuses on the “body itself—our internal “terrain.”
Think of your body like a garden. Germs (bacteria, viruses) are always present, like weeds and insects. But a “healthy, strong garden” (with good soil, water, and sunlight) can resist pests and stay well. Terrain Theory suggests that if your body’s internal environment is weak or unbalanced—from poor nutrition, stress, or toxins—it becomes a “sick” garden where germs can thrive and make you ill.
The main idea is: “Take care of your body first.” Support your immune system with healthy food, rest, and clean living, and your body will be strong enough to handle the germs it encounters. Most modern doctors use Germ Theory, but many agree that a healthy "terrain" is also very important.
Human speak --
The bots are only as reliable as the “seeds in their info gardens.”
The fallacy here is that germs actually exist. If they don’t exist, which in our philosophy they don’t, then how can they make you sick?
Let’s return to the bot. We asked it to describe “No Virus” Theory and to our surprise, it did – sort of.
Bot-speak --
No Virus Theory” (also called the "Virus Skeptic" view) is a belief held by a very small group of people who reject the mainstream science of Germ Theory. [Note the bot-bias.]
Their core idea is that viruses—like those said to cause colds, flu, or COVID-19—either don't exist at all or are harmless particles that don't cause disease. They argue that what we call a "viral illness" is actually just the body's process of cleaning out toxins or damaged cells. In their view, the real cause of sickness is a weakened body due to poor nutrition, stress, or toxins in the environment.
Important to Know: This theory is considered “pseudoscience” by virtually all doctors and scientists. It contradicts a massive amount of evidence -- [but no proof (editor)] from over a century of research. Things we can see with powerful microscopes, and lifesaving tools like vaccines and antiviral medicines, are all built on the proven fact that viruses exist and can cause disease. [Once again, note the bias. Also, viruses have never been proven to exist. (editor).]
Human Speak --
One more disclaimer before we get started. We are not selling “No Virus” theory. We have already bought it and we are not giving it up.
Another element of No Vee theory as the bot mentioned is the concept of the vessel cleansing itself of toxicity? What is toxicity? Dead tissue, or “cells” as some people call them. There are only two states that living tissue can be in – “ease” [and what's the opposite? Bueller?] – dis-ease. That’s right. Dead cells. A living organism like our vessels will not tolerate corpses on its terrain. Thus the cleansing system kicks in to remove the dead cells.
This is the NUMBER ONE priority! The prime directive of the vessel is to keep itself and everything within its “ecosystem” alive. But death happens. And when it does, the janitors take care of it. Cellular death happens at a rate of 1 million per second. [Remembered this from a talk by Bruce Lipton – look him up.] It’s routine. If that rate increases, let’s say it doubles – well then management has to hire overtime. What does this mean?
Metabolism must take personnel from some other project to work on elimination of dead cells.
Here’s a story that might illustrate this.
Your boy, [that would be Me] – when doing his service to the country worked in the motor pool fixing shit and keeping it running. Everything is normal. Until it snows. And snows and snows. Well, the priority is keeping the roads clear. The regular crew that normally plowed the roads were overwhelmed, and the grease monkeys were taken away from their routine work, to help with the snow removal.
When your vessel encounters some “trauma” this could trigger some excess cell death. So guess what. Personnel are taken from other functions to assist with the elimination, or cleansing process.
What does this look/feel like from a human perspective?
If you said, “cold & flu symptoms” you may already be a Terrain Philosopher.
Remember, the priority is elimination – runny nose, runny eyes, sneezing, bathroom, fever to induce sweating -- [we haven’t had this happen in a very long time – the fever that is,] -- vomiting, diarrhea. Think about “The Towering Inferno” – you gotta get outta there and if you can’t find an exit you will make an exit. Think about how difficult it would be to get out of a burning building if there’s a whole bunch of junk in your way and you had to move a bookshelf out of the way to climb out of a window. The building is the terrain.
If your vessel is overstuffed with various types of fat, and food that hasn’t been digested for a week or might never be digested, then my friend you are going to suffer.
All of the usual flu symptoms can be explained with the cleansing system model.
Let’s talk about Metabolism.
In my personal model, for my personal health, Metabolism is the controller. It’s like Mr. Scott on the Enterprise. “Reroute phaser power to life support, Mr. Scott.”
We sometimes imagine that our vessel is a star ship so any Star Trek references are appropriate.
Metabolism controls everything. But let’s look at its priorities.
First – Maintain Life.
Second – Digest Food.
Third – Locomotion
Fourth – brain, organ functions and stuff like that.
Dis-ease – an overflow of dead tissue threatens life, thus Metabolism shifts all personnel to “snow removal duty.” This includes the digestive system. Part of the digestive system is smell, taste and appetite. So if you lose these senses when the vessel is detoxing – aka – “sick” – it’s so you won’t tax the digestive system. If you eat anyway, you will throw up – and think you are dying from some buggaboo. Starve a cold. This is why you will sit on the loo for hours. The digested, or partially digested food must be expedited quickly so the vessel can repair itself.
Let’s look at locomotion – walking around and stuff. When you are “detoxing” Mr. Scott is going to transfer resources from you walking around to detox. This is why you feel fatigued. Have a seat. Not good enough. Lie down. Chill out. The vessel has got this. When you fight to remain active, you are not working in your best interest.
The advice for all three “theories” is the same; rest, drink plenty of liquids, and starve a cold. Don’t eat. If you feel like you are hungry, refer to number 2 – drink plenty of liquids. Mainly water.
Why water? Water is the universal solvent. It’s going to help your vessel eliminate the dead tissue.
If your vessel is in tip-top condition, or even good shape, your detox should take about three days – at least. Why? 72 hours is the time it takes for the gut flora – the lining around your gut to renew. I don’t know if it regenerates or just changes. This is something I remember from a lecture, and I have noticed when traveling that people who got upset stomachs – for whatever reason – were back to “normal” in three days.
Before I get to Our latest episode. If you are on Team No-Vee and I got this close, or not so close, fill in the gaps so next time I can explain it better. If you adhere to Germ Theory, still – then you haven’t even read this far. If you are curious and have questions, feel free to drop them. I can refer you to some info, some No-Vee docs, or I can answer questions about how “I roll” [and only me.] Can’t speak for anybody else.
The Head Cold
The weather changed abruptly down here towards the end of last week. Hit the gym Thursday. A strong 2.5 hours. Wanted to go out to the playground on Friday for some easy stuff and mainly just to be outside. Felt weak. Got a little bit done.
Felt it coming on Friday night. Vitamin C, NAC, tea and spicy capsules. [Spices like cayenne, turmeric and ginger root open blood vessels. Helps things move.]
Saturday – fasting. We knew we were going to fast, even on Friday night. The only symptoms we had on Saturday were an incessant runny nose and fatigue. But nothing serious. We could still get around and hit the biceps curls, and work on episodes. Our terrain is very clean.
How do you know your terrain is clean? Because the snot is thin, watery and clear as opposed to thick, clumpy and greenish-yellow like it used to be, like decades ago now. [We still remember.] This might gross you out, but we just let it flow. Sniffing it up defeats the purpose and gives us a headache, Blowing doesn’t help either.
For our vessel water is key. Water and heat. Hot tea. We even made a “tealixir” with cloves, lemon and honey. Bitter stuff seems to help. It goes well with spices. Think everything that will open up the vessel. Sinuses. Blood vessels. Digestive system. It’s going to take a minimum of three days anyway. So you can track it.
Saturday was the worst. Lots of tea, hot showers and sleep. We slept on the left side. [We mentioned this in previous Transmissions.] We learned, just by doing it, that sleeping on the left clears our sinuses, so we were not up tossing and turning all afternoon or night. Had some vivid dreams too. We ate small handfuls of peanuts on Saturday, which seemed to help. Peanuts are not too much of a digestive load on the metabolism.
Appetite returned on Sunday and we made a pot of hot spicy chicken soup (with potatoes and mushrooms] and ate that throughout the day, along with drinking hot tea, water, hot showers, rest [biceps curls] – elimination and so forth.
Which brings us to today. Not 100%, but strong and vibrant enough to take a 4 mile round trip “Urban Expedition” -- [that means walking] – still cold, but sunny and pleasant – through the affluent part of town.
Tomorrow is a scheduled gym day. Don’t want to make any decisions right now. We should be completely back to top notch by then. But we will see.
Sometimes these are daily. But we skip days. We will check in eventually. Be sure to watch the show. That’s daily and there are usually links, but you should subscribe.
That’s a wrap.
One more item. As I am so thoroughly inured into No-Vee Philosophy, this completely slipped my mind. No MEDS. No aspirin. ‘Tussin. Tylenol. Expectorant. Sleeping pills. Waking up pills. Pepto Bismol. You get the idea.
