12-16-2025 … Day 23667 (Super Power Tuesday)
I read a post today on Substack about Clove water. It wasn’t the first. I am one of those humans who must hear the message 7 times before taking action. And then, after the first two are three actions, I may have to hear the message a few more times before I indulge again. Sometimes it becomes a habit, or practice – sometimes … well, I will have to get the message again-again.
I’m like, “I know.”
I boiled the cloves in a small frying pan. Before I poured the hot water into my tea mug I breathed in the steam – supposed to be good for the sinuses as well. That’s an on-going battle. Any more info would be too much. I sliced up some fresh ginger and added a squirt of honey. Gut healing here we come!
Speaking of healing – we gnew that we were going to make this 4 mile [round trip] walk to the super mercado today. We made an attempt yesterday but the ankle was too sore and the weather was too dreary. Today the vessel took another [pun-intended] step towards healing, so we shifted “gently” into rehab mode.
“Don’t walk too fast” says the Captain. We had to slow down a number of times. We were going mostly for the walk – but while we are at it – weeklies and staples. Avocados for less than a dollar each. Score! However at the same store strawberries were crazy! And – we finally remembered to get some lard. I don’t know from brands, but I’ve heard lard is better than cooking with seed oils. I don’t cook with seed oils. Either coconut or extra virgin olive oil. Stuff’s expensive. So expensive that no one buys it. It regularly goes on BOGO sale. Anyway we are going to see how the lard works out. Strawberries went on sale too. We were forking over 5 bucks! They were a dollar off so we stocked up. Our fridge is almost full. We are good for the winter … like it’s ever winter down here. But we can chill for a while, unless we get some sweet deals that we can freeze.
We made it there and back. Just a little soreness in the ankle. We will rest it tomorrow. Rub it down with coconut oil tonight as usual and let it heal.
Upgrades [Snark!]
This is how my mobile device has changed. I don’t have the language to explain exactly how the “interface” has changed. However since my second language is metaphors, I will make an attempt to describe “the experience.”
I am the lead singer of a 70s funk band. There are about 9 of us all together.
First year we are all in a huge studio. We can all see each other, catch the cues for the change-ups, when a solo is coming and so on.
Then the studio gurus decide it's time for an “upgrade.” A different studio is built for the horn section. They are separated by a sound-proof window. We speak through an intercom system.
Next upgrade. We no longer speak directly to the horn section. The intercom goes from our studio, to the producers and sound techs, to the horn section. You get the picture.
Next upgrade. “We are going to over dub the drums.” The drummer is sitting in studio for the recording of the tracks, but comes in on his own and lays down his beats over the pre-recorded tapes.
You see where this is going.
Current “upgrade” – I don’t even see the guys anymore. I am dropping vocals to music that is playing over tape [DAT what it used to be called] recorders.
Upgrades are not upgrades. They make shit more difficult. When the apps were called “programs” they did a lot more, but were slower. It’s like you want the airplane to move faster, you reduce the cargo. How about this one – I heard this somewhere. Might have been a movie. In order for the plane to carry more cargo, it had to reduce the fuel. So the plane takes off and is topped off in flight.
These days are what they are. We are still able to do physical stuff … maybe. Like I can still tie my shoes, but I haven’t broken a lug nut (they hold tires on wheels, just in case you’re under 50 – LOL) in over 30 years. I am not the fastest typist – although I am the fastest in my apartment – ha ha – but typing these things out daily or whenever – is the exercise I get for my fingers. [Oh yeah – and twirling a five foot long broomstick around like a baton (which means “stick.”)].
Anyway --
Sydney – Update.
I haven’t heard anything more about the Bondi Beach shooting in Oz yesterday. I am not looking. However, I wasn’t looking last night either, but I saw a longer clip of the terrorist tackle take-down by the Instant Hero (just add gunfire).
My previous description was inaccurate. I thought that the hero took the weapon from dude and then shot him. He just pointed the rifle at him as the gun man got up and … And what? He looked like he was going to run away. It looked for a minute like he was going to go back for the weapon. Someone threw something at the disarmed gunman. And then he just started walking away.
I am yelling at the screen – “Where are the cops?” I was expecting a swarm, like We saw when those criminal Aussies were running around without masks on. But nothing. Maybe other clips will come out.
Anyway – by the end of the day the Hero was a millionaire as a Go Fund Me account had been set up for him. This of course is Aussie time, so it’s been an entire 12 to 24 hours before I get to see it. Plus I am not looking for it.
We did do a quick check and found no uber-hyped updates. Maybe later. Seems like no one but Nick Fuentes cares.
Waah!
The Gunz Show
We have finally gotten over the thirty day mark of 100+ biceps curls per day. We missed one day because of a late Amtrak arrival – but we also forgot to hit ‘em when we got home. So we started again on November 13th. We see and feel a difference. But keep in mind the collateral bennies – shoulders and elbow mobility.
We will wrap this up. It’s a bit Us-centric today.
Counting down to Abundance Year. So excited!!
