Walking For Wellness-My Walk Today
It's my usual thing, I can just decide to go on an unplanned walk out specially when I've stayed for a very long time indoors.
How long can you voluntarily stay indoors? The highest for me was about 5days at a go without sunlight or fresh breeze from nature. I remembered I was preparing for exams back then and had to study my as$ up to pass that exam, ever since then, the highest was just two days. It has become a normality for me, I stay two days stretch in my room without going out, just me my phone, data, water and food.
I decided to just go out on a simple walk. I trekked some distance from my house. I can't really measure how long it was but it was a massive walk because I ended up going as far as I didn't even planned. We don't do this because we cannot afford to take rides or bike to destination of choice, it's a simple exercise we know the actual importance and what it means for our body.
I was ready to take lots of photographs but unfortunately they've not fixed the lights around old airport and secretariat bridge. On my way to the bridge, I met some students of skating, I was carried away with what they were doing because I love skating and anything that will make me exercise my body. Little children were growing and building themselves in becoming record breakers tomorrow, I took them a shot from afar, because I was avoiding questions and possible confrontations.
I had my peaceful walk and reached the Bridge around the secretariat junction. I was kinda disappointed they've not fixed Christmas lights around there too cause I was supposed to stop at old airport but I didn't thinking I would probably meet the bridge decorated already. It turned out that wasn't the bridge that was decorated and so I took some rest before I journeyed back home.
It was getting late already and the place becoming dark, I still didn't felt the need to take a bike home so I continued my peaceful walk home. I stopped by a nearby shop and got few items, it was as if I was dehydrating hence the need to take in some liquid. However, I went for the 5alive because it's a fruity juice that contains oranges and other fruits, although processed, I still preferred it to junks or soda with too much sugars.
The walk as actually paid off because I felt relieved and refreshed after I got home, took my bathe and rested.
Small walks can save you from some health complications friends, it's another very good form of exercise you should never underestimate.
