Today was a good day as Akwnaga area office organize a get together (reception) for all the sports masters and mistress of all the secondary school in Akwanga Local Government which i am privilage to be in attendance,
The event was to celebrate a successful inter-school sports competition that was held in April, 2024. The sports events which kicks tart in April, 2024 saw students from schools within Akwanga compete in various events which include, Football, Volleyball, Handball, Basket ball, Tract and field events to mention but few.
All of the events were observed for male and female category. The climax of the events feature a football final for junior and senior boys, and Race of 100 meters for but junior and senior boys and girls. Today we were call upon to meet for a reception in respect to the concluded sport competion. Highlights of today's get together (reception) were encouragement by an elderly coach popularly known as coach Toks. He encourage and admonishes the sports masters and mistress to trained, support and encourage the younger generation (students) in sports. Most of these students destiny is in sport but will take the support and encouragement of the teachers to unlock the hidden talent in them.
He also charge the Area Office to keep on the good work they have started in ensuring that talent are discover in various area of sport in the Local Government. He sighted an examples of few teenagers who in one way where tutored by him, the likes of sunusi who now playing his football with Montreal in MLS,

The sports masters and mistress express their gratitude to the Area Office for organizing such sport events which was abandoned for long time. They further state their commitment and readiness to support and do their best to ensure that sports in schools and the Local Government at large grow beyond the level of is.
By privilege being the sports masters of my school, The Great Best Brain College Akwanga, I was in attendance to partake in the reception. My great school were not lift in the price and metal recieved at the sport competion as we emarge runner’s up in handball boys category, and 3rd place in volleyball boys categories.
My students also pick the silver metal in 100 meter race junior boys, silver metal in 100meters junior girls and Bronze metal in senior boys. We consider this as a successful outing being our first time participation in the competition.
We believe and hope that the upcoming competition will be much better and successful than the former. Certificate of active participation was given to few sports masters and mistress for their outstanding efforts among others during the competition.
