Cuando la cultura se reúne para celebrar, pasan cosas muy buenas y eso es lo quiero contarles en el Aniversario del grupo de Poetisas a Viva voz, en la ciudad de Maracay.

It’s a pleasure to greet you and share this cultural experience I had the opportunity to attend.When people come together to celebrate, wonderful things happen—and that’s what I want to tell you about: the anniversary celebration of the “Poetisas a Viva Voz” group in the city of Maracay.

Por invitación de una amiga asistí a este evento, que se realizó en la Biblioteca de la casa de la cultura de la ciudad de Maracay, el dia viernes pasado, en horas de la mañana. Y estuvo organizado por este grupo, con la colaboración de los amigos del arte.
At the invitation of a friend, I attended this event, which took place at the library of the Maracay Cultural Center last Friday morning. It was organized by this group, in collaboration with Friends of the Arts.
Cómo llegué temprano y mientras esperaba a mi amiga, camine un poco por los jardines de la Casa de la Cultura y tomé algunas fotografías.
<Since I arrived early, I took a short walk through the gardens of the Casa de la Cultura while I waited for my friend and took a few photos.

Durante el acto las poetisas leyeron una selección de sus poemas. Todos hermosos y muy emotivos. Cada una de ellas expresando con la poesía vivencias y sentimientos.
During the event, the poets read a selection of their poems. They were all beautiful and deeply moving. Each of them used poetry to express their experiences and feelings.
Los artistas invitados, hicieron de esta velada un momento muy ameno y de mucha alegría. Disfrutar de la poesía, la música y el arte escénico es una manera de dar placer al alma. A mi personalmente me gustó mucho y creo que a todas las personas que estuvieron alli aplaudiendo y animando a los artistas, también.
The guest artists made this evening a very enjoyable and joyful occasion. Enjoying poetry, music, and the performing arts is a way to bring joy to the soul. I personally loved it, and I think everyone who was there applauding and cheering on the artists did too.

El grupo coral de voces oscuras Amigos a una voz, nos deleitaron con un repertorio de canciones del folclore venezolano. Y fueron muy aplaudidos. Son amigos muy conocidos y apreciados por su experiencia en diferentes grupos corales, que se han unido para seguir cantando.
The Amigos Voz baritone choir delighted us with a repertoire of Venezuelan folk songs. They received a warm round of applause. These friends are well-known and highly regarded for their experience in various choral groups, and they have come together to continue singing.

La música continuo deleitándonos con los sonidos del violín y el cuatro, en este dueto que interpretó melodías maravillosas. Tamara Lima nos canto, acompañada del sonido de la guitarra, varias canciones románticas entre estas varios boleros.
The music continued to delight us with the sounds of the violin and the cuatro in this duet, which performed some wonderful melodies. Tamara Lima sang for us, accompanied by the guitar, performing several romantic songs, including a number of boleros.

También presenciamos una performance en homenaje al Día Internacional del Libro, que se conmemoró el dia 23 de abril. Con movimientos del cuerpo y con su voz, la joven artista nos llevó hasta los orígenes del libro.
We also attended a performance in celebration of International Book Day. Through body movements and her voice, the artist took us back to the origins of the book.

Para finalizar esta celebración se entregaron reconocimientos a los participantes y finalizamos cantando el cumpleaños al grupo Poetisas a Viva Voz. Una hermosa clausura para un evento donde pudimos compartir durante varias horas, momentos agradables.
To wrap up the celebration, awards were presented to the participants, and we concluded by singing “Happy Birthday” to the group Poetisas a Viva Voz. It was a beautiful closing to an event where we were able to spend several hours sharing pleasant moments together.

Mi amiga y yo salimos de la Biblioteca encantadas de haber asistido y con hambre, así que nos fuimos a almorzar a un restaurant muy bonito en el centro de Maracay, cuyas especialidades son las cachapas y las sopas. Nosotras nos decidimos por un hervido de gallina acompañado de arepitas y un jugo de papelón con limón. Una manera muy sabrosa de terminar esta salida.
My friend and I left the library delighted to have attended and feeling hungry, so we went to lunch at a very nice restaurant in downtown Maracay, which specializes in cachapas and soups. We decided on chicken stew served with small arepas and molasses juice with lemon. It was a delicious way to end our outing.
