At the university we are in the process of creating a student council that will allow us to unite as an Unearth community to improve study conditions at the Armando Reveron mint. We have a WhatsApp group which we use as a means of communication to organize the council under construction; A week ago a fellow student communicated through the group that she had managed to get the donation of some materials that could be of benefit to the university, but that people would be required to unload the materials at the mint, so she summoned the assistance of students last Saturday to unload the truck. I was the first to arrive, (the first time this has happened 😅) little by little more people arrived, about 40 had confirmed and only about 16 students attended, but that didn't stop us from unloading the truck 😋.

En la universidad estamos en proceso de creación de un concejo estudiantil que nos permita unirnos como comunidad uneartista para mejorar las condiciones de estudio en el ceca Armando Reveron, tenemos un grupo de WhatsApp el cual usamos como medio de comunicación para organizar el consejo en construcción; hace una semana atrás una compañera estudiante comunicó por el grupo que había logrado conseguir la donación de algunos materiales que podrían ser de beneficio para la universidad, pero que se requeriría de personas para descargar los materiales en la ceca, así que convocó a la asistencia de los estudiantes el pasado sábado para descargar el camión. Yo fuí el primero en llegar, (primera vez que ocurre 😅) poco a poco fueron llegando más personas, habían confirmado unos 40 y solo asistieron como 16 estudiantes, pero eso no nos detuvo a ponerle ganas a la descarga del camión 😋.

The truck had not yet arrived, the colleague who got the donations is called Adriana, she sent us pictures of when they were finishing loading the truck and then she told us that she was on her way, she guided the truck to the university in her own car; The truck came full of drywall sheets, ceiling lamps for the ceiling, and angles to install the ceiling.

El camión todavía no había llegado, la compañera que consiguió las donaciones se llama Adriana, ella nos envío fotografías de cuándo estaban terminando de cargar el camión y luego nos avisó que ya venía en camino, ella en su carro propio guío al camión hasta la universidad; el camión venía lleno de láminas de dry wall, lámparas para techo de cielo raso y los ángulos para hacer las instalaciones del cielo raso.

As soon as the truck arrived, we got down to work 💪🏼, seeing a truck full of many sheets of dry wall motivated us, because the university really needs these materials, since due to the leaks there are many classrooms disabled, because the roof falls apart 🙃; The leak problem has already been solved, you just have to scrape the ceilings of each affected room and use those donated materials to install low ceilings and thus recover the rooms again 😌.

Apenas el camión llego, nos pusimos manos a la obra 💪🏼, al ver un camión lleno de muchísimas láminas de dry wall nos motivamos, porque de verdad la universidad necesita esos materiales, ya que por las filtraciones hay muchos salones deshabilitados, porque el techo se cae en pedazos 🙃; el problema de las filtraciones ya fue solucionado, solo hay que raspar los techos de cada salón afectado y usar esos materiales donados para instalar techos de cielo raso y así recuperar los salones nuevamente 😌.

This day it was demonstrated that if we have committed students that we will serve as an engine to promote the recovery of the university and improve academic conditions; little by little we will generate a change of consciousness in the student population to instill that love for art and culture that is needed to begin to appreciate the Armando Reveron mint as the place where we go to learn and experiment in the plastic arts and in personal artistic development.

Este día se demostró que si habemos estudiantes comprometidos que serviremos de motor para impulsar la recuperación de la universidad y mejorar las condiciones académicas; poco a poco iremos generando un cambio de conciencia en la población estudiantil para inculcar ese amor hacia el arte y la cultura que se necesitan para comenzar a apreciar el ceca Armando Reveron como el lugar al que asistimos para aprender y experimentar en las artes plásticas y en el desarrollo artístico personal.

Unloading the truck took about two hours, but I really congratulate all of us who attended, because we made an effort and achieved the objective together 💪🏼, now all that remains is for another meeting to be called to discuss how to proceed with this project, I am willing to offer me to install that low ceiling, of course I would first have to train several students to help me and together we can finish the installations faster, for now we just have to wait 😌 but a sample was given that if we can generate the change in community 😁. Descargar el camión llevo unas dos horas, pero de verdad felicito a todos los que asistimos, porque nos esforzamos y logramos el objetivo unidos 💪🏼, ahora solo queda que se convoque otra reunión para plantear como se va a proceder con ese proyecto, yo estoy dispuesto a ofrecerme para instalar ese techo de cielo raso, claro tendría primero que capacitar a varios estudiantes para que me ayuden y juntos podamos terminar mas rápido las instalaciones, por ahora solo hay que esperar 😌 pero se dió una muestra de que si podemos generar el cambio en comunidad 😁.
