VISITING THE MUSEUM OF DESIGN AND PRINT | CENTENARY OF MASTER CARL...

This current year marks the centenary of the Venezuelan master plastic artist Carlos Cruz Díez, who dedicated a large part of his artistic career to the investigation of "CINETISM" and the use of colors; To pay homage to the memory of the artist, on August 23 several exhibitions of the works of Cruz Díez were inaugurated in two establishments dedicated to the exhibition of art, such as the Museo del Diseño y la Estampa (which bears the name of the maestro Cruz Díez ) and the other establishment was the National Art Gallery. As I have to do a little research on the work of two great precursor artists of kineticism in Venezuela and the world such as Jesús Soto and Cruz Díez, since I have to make a replica of some of their works for a university project I decided to attend the opening of these exhibitions in order to learn more about the work and work of the master Carlos Cruz Díez; I invited Moisés, a colleague from the university who is also very passionate about Art.

Este presente año se conmemora el centenario del maestro artista plástico venezolano Carlos Cruz Díez, el cual dedicó gran parte de su carrera artística a la investigación del "CINETISMO" y el uso de los colores; para homenajear la memoria del artista, el pasado 23 de agosto se inauguraron varias exposiciones de las obras de Cruz Díez en dos establecimientos dedicados a la muestra de arte como lo son el museo del diseño y la estampa (que lleva el nombre del maestro Cruz Díez) y el otro establecimiento fue la Galería de Arte Nacional. como yo tengo que hacer una pequeña investigación sobre el trabajo de dos grandes artistas precursores del cinetismo en Venezuela y el mundo como lo son Jesús Soto y Cruz Díez, ya que tengo que hacer una replica de alguna de sus obras para un proyecto de la universidad, decidí asistir a la inaguración de esas exposiciones para poder aprender mas sobre el trabajo y obra del maestro Carlos Cruz Díez, invite a Moisés un compañero de la universidad que también le apasiona mucho el Arte.

This year I decided to visit all the museums in the city of Caracas, since I have understood the importance of these great temples for the art exhibition, one of the museums that I most wanted to visit was the Museo del Diseño y la Estampa Carlos Cruz Díez; Upon arrival, the first exhibition room we entered was entitled "HEAVY AND INERT" and for the public display it had a large number of works by different authors created with various artistic techniques such as screen printing, lithography, engraving, among others, all these techniques related to graphic arts, a branch of plastic arts 😋. This is something very interesting to be able to have a museum focused on the exhibition of works specifically related to graphic arts and design 💪🏼.

Este año me propuse visitar todos los museos de la ciudad de Caracas, ya que he comprendido la importancia de estos grandiosos templos para la muestra de arte, uno de los museos que más anhelaba visitar era el Museo del Diseño y la Estampa Carlos Cruz Díez; al llegar la primera sala de exposición a la que entramos estaba titulada "PESADO E INERTE" y para la muestra al público tenía una basta cantidad de obras de diferentes autores creadas con diversas técnicas artísticas como la serigrafía, litografía, grabado, entre otros, todas estas técnicas relacionadas a las artes Gráficas, una rama de las artes plásticas 😋. Esto es algo muy interesante el poder contar con un museo enfocado en la exposición de obras relacionadas específicamente con las artes gráficas y el diseño 💪🏼.

Then we went to the next room on the same floor where we were, there was an exhibition entitled "COLOR WITHOUT LIMITS" a small tribute to Cruz Díez; They were a series of paintings focused on highlighting the design, geometric shapes, colors and a bit of kineticism. The interesting thing is that you can notice the influence of the ten cross research in each of those pieces of art that are shown in that room by various independent artists 😌.

Luego pasamos a la siguiente sala en el mismo piso en el que nos encontrábamos, había una exposición titulada "COLOR SIN LIMITES" un pequeño homenaje a Cruz Díez; eran una serie de cuadros enfocados en resaltar el diseño, las formas geométricas, los colores y un poco de cinetismo. Lo interesante es que se puede notar la influencia de la investigación de cruz diez en cada una de esas piezas de arte que son mostradas en esa sala por varios artistas independientes 😌.

We went up to the next floor of the museum and we found a very interesting decoration in the anteroom, it was "THE EMBLEMATIC OF GERD LEUFERT" a tribute to the German designer of the same name, since his work and work represented here are part of the historical landmark of formal design in Venezuela. The plastic language shown there was exceptional, all the semiotics that were reflected when placing each of these elements to create a language of design and represent the essence of the honored artist, showing the timeline of his designs 💪🏼😁 everything turned out very well presented.

Subimos al siguiente piso del museo y nos encontramos con una decoración muy interesante en la antesala, se trataba de "LA EMBLEMÁTICA DE GERD LEUFERT" un homenaje al diseñador alemán del mismo nombre, ya que su trabajo y obra aquí representados forman parte del hito histórico del diseño formal en Venezuela. El lenguaje plástico allí mostrado era excepcional, toda la semiótica que reflejaron al colocar cada uno de esos elementos para crear un lenguaje propio del diseño y representar la esencia de artista homenajeado, mostrando la linea del tiempo de sus diseños 💪🏼😁 todo quedo muy bien presentado.

Then we entered the main exhibition of the museum, now if we are going to see works created by the master Carlos Cruz Díez, that exhibition had the title "RGB, THE COLORS OF THE CENTURY" in this exhibition I was able to appreciate the true kineticism of the master Cruz Díez, as interposes the colors to generate an optical illusion for the viewer that creates vibrations in the color 😋; That's what I like most about kineticism: the key factor is the viewer, since by appreciating it and playing with the movement of the view, the kinetic effect is generated that gives life to the work, turning that piece into art 🎨.

Luego entramos a la exposición principal del museo, ahora si vamos a ver obras creadas por el maestro Carlos Cruz Díez, esa muestra tenía como titulo "RGB, LOS COLORES DEL SIGLO" en esta exposición pude apreciar el verdadero cinetismo del maestro Cruz Díez, como interpone los colores para generarle al espectador una ilusión óptica que crea vibraciones en el color 😋; eso es lo que mas me gusta del cinetismo que el factor clave es el espectador, ya que al apreciarla y jugar con el movimiento de la vista, se genera el efecto cinético que da vida a la obra convirtiendo esa pieza en arte 🎨.

Finally we enter the "CHROMOSATURATION CHAMBER" one of the most wonderful creations made by the master Carlos Cruz Díez, it is a room divided into 3 sections, everything is white, but each section has lighting related to colors RGB (that is, there is a section with green light, another with red light and the last one with blue light) creating a chromatic visual effect in the range of colors allowing us to experiment with lighting and colors in a kinetic environment, it really is a Unbeatable experience, I recommend it to everyone who has the opportunity to visit the Design and Print Museum, I know they will not regret living that experience 😌. This is not only here, after the museum, we went to the National Art Gallery, since there they also made an inauguration of works by the master Cruz Díez, but I will tell about that in another publication, for now I say goodbye until next week to tell you how was my experience in the G.A.N 😁; I hope he likes this post, good vibes 🖖🏼.

Por ultimo entramos en la "CAMARA DE CROMOSATURACION" una de las creaciones mas maravillosas realizadas por el maestro Carlos Cruz Díez, se trata de una habitación dividida en 3 secciones, todo es de color blanco, pero cada sección tiene una iluminación relacionado a los colores RGB (osea, hay una sección con luz verde, otra con luz roja y la última con lus azul) creando un efecto visual cromático en la gama de los colores permitiéndonos experimentar con la iluminación y los colores en un entorno cinético, de verdad es una experiencia inigualable, se lo recomiendo a todo aquel que tenga la oportunidad de visitar el Museo del diseño y la estampa, se que no se arrepentirán de vivir esa experiencia 😌. Esto no queda solo aquí, despues del museo, nos fuimos para la Galería de Arte Nacional, ya que allí también hicieron una inaguración de obras del maestro Cruz Díez, pero eso lo contaré en otra publicación, por ahora me despido hasta próxima semana para contarles como fue mi experiencia en la G.A.N 😁; Espero que este post sea de su agrado, buenas vibras 🖖🏼.
