Early in the morning, our teacher announced in our group chat, "Good morning, please don't be late or absent today because we will be awarding of honors this morning. Thanks." So, my friends and I made sure not to be late and went to school early. When we arrived, we waited for some of our classmates. After a while, our teacher began giving out the certificates of honors. I was nervous because it was taking a long time for my name to be called, and my friends kept cheering me up, assuring me that I would definitely make it to the honors list. A little later, my last name was called, and I was so happy to be included in the "With Honors" list for the second quarter. My overall average for the first semester was also still good enough to make it to the honors list.
After the awarding, my friends and I decided to take a group photo holding our certificates.
At this point, I took a picture with my certificate, and we also took a picture as a group.
We were all so happy because we didn't expect to make it to the honors list this quarter since our scores on the periodical exams were low.
Fast forward, we are here at Rizal Park because there are still a lot of people eating and no available tables. I wasn't able to take a picture of our food because we were so hungry.
After eating, we immediately walked to the terminal and took a tricycle. Anyway, the fare for the tricycle ride from the terminal to the shop is 30 pesos per person, but the fare back home is only 20 pesos. We don't really understand why. Anyway, what our "manitos" wanted were jersey shorts, which we could buy at Jhea Sports Apparel in Compostela, Cebu City. It's located near Braders, and it's easy to find because it’s right by the roadside.
However, when we arrived, the shop was closed, so I quickly messaged their page, and they replied right away, telling us to wait a bit because the person in charge had gone home. While waiting, I took pictures outside the shop, and it was so relaxing and aesthetic, especially since there’s a coffee shop on the right side.
After a while, the shopkeeper arrived, and we immediately chose what to buy. After shopping, we purchased the items right away. I would definitely recommend Jhea Sports Apparel because the quality of their jerseys is really good, and you won’t regret buying from them. By the way, if you go to the shop, the products are only 250 pesos, but if you order online, they cost 350 pesos.
This day was a perfect blend of academic achievement and fun adventures. Receiving the "With Honors" award was such a fulfilling experience, especially since it was unexpected after a challenging quarter. Celebrating with my friends and taking photos together made the moment even more memorable. Afterward, our trip to Jhea Sports Apparel turned out to be a great way to unwind. Even though we had to wait for a while, it was totally worth it, and we found some amazing jerseys. This day reminded me that hard work pays off, and it’s important to take time to enjoy the little things, whether it’s a special achievement or a simple shopping trip with friends.
