It’s always heartwarming to receive unexpected gifts, when you are unaware that you will be getting some gift out of nowhere. Gifts are always precious and I do like giving and taking gifts on occasions but unexpected gifts gives some special feeling and joy. I had such experience at home, getting gifts without any occasion from my brothers and parents but in office, this is my first experience and it was really nice. Let me share the whole story and hope you all would like it :P
I usually like and share almost all the posts from my company in FB. Couple of weeks ago, we had a post from my company which was a type of competition, I was not sure about it but it says to comment with the name of your favorite team and tag two of your friends. We, Pakistanis, are very fond of Cricket and recently, we are having a league in which players from all over the world are participating so it is a hit and trending, having a huge fan base. In this context and trying to engage people, our company had a post related to PSL 8 (cricket league).
As usual, I liked the post and commented, tagged two friends to participate in it. I had no idea or anything in my mind that I can win something with that comment. Past week, our marketing manager gets appreciated due to this post as many people engaged and liked our page. Lots of likes and comments rushed on this post in no time.
Yesterday, we had a new post with the name of the winners and my name was mentioned in the lucky participants. I was surprised to see my name in there and was feeling happy too. Besides me, there were two other names from our office in the list. It was randomly selected so, I got lucky to get in the list.
Today, we had a ceremony for the ones who worked hard for the relocation of our new office, they were presented with appreciation tokens. After that, our boss called out the names of the lucky participants who got their names mentioned in the list, gave a little speech. I thought that was it but there were gifts for us, wow a surprising gift from nowhere. Called us one by one and handed over the gift pack. It was a superb feeling and I was very happy with this act. Everyone congratulated the lucky three participants from our office. Others will be contacted and gifts will be sent to their home addresses.
Without opening, I took it home and handed over to my Mother to open it. I told them about this unexpected gift and all of them were surprised and happy to see the gift. My Mother opened it, it was a nice digital watch, very light in weight. WOW such a nice gift on a comment.
Everyone likes the watch and I tried it although, I don’t like this type of watches but gift is a gift, I kept it for my kiddo. It was a nice experience to receive an unexpected gift and I hope you all would be receiving such gifts soon :) Cheers!!!
