It was Friday, and just like we usually do, we participated in a religious activity we call cart witnessing. It's a form of public ministry where we stand beside a cart filled with Bible-based publications and messages about God. We did this from 1:00 to 4:00 PM.
We really enjoyed it because we chose to witness by the beach. We knew a lot of people would be there, and at the same time, being surrounded by nature gave us a sense of calm and peace. The sea looked absolutely beautiful—it was high tide at the time. The water rose above its usual level, and the breeze was so refreshing that it helped clear our minds of worries.
We stayed until 4:00 PM. Many people passed by our cart. Although just a few of them took the literature, that was completely fine—maybe they were shy or had another reason. What matters is that they saw the message. By the way, all our publications are offered for free—no payment at all.
After that, we rushed home to get changed because we had all agreed to attend the graduation party of one of our fellow believer’s children. The venue was also by the beach, but at a different location. Since the whole place had already been paid for—including the cottages and other amenities—we all decided to stay overnight.
To make things even more convenient, the celebrant’s family had the food catered, so there were plenty of delicious dishes to choose from. The gathering was truly joyful, especially since we were surrounded by fellow worshippers who shared the same faith and values.
Later that evening, as the tide began to go down, my siblings and I stayed by the shore. We spent time chatting, taking pictures, and simply enjoying each other’s company. We also brought a guitar, so we sang and played music under the night sky. The air was still fresh and cool, which made the whole experience even more special.
Some of the guests brought tents because they planned to sleep there, but as for us, we had to head home because we had several animals waiting for us. So, at around 2:00 AM, we packed up and left. Funny enough, there was a brownout just as we arrived home, but it was all good. What mattered most was that we had a great time, and we made memories that will stay with us.
It was a simple experience, but one filled with joy, laughter, and faith something I’ll always treasure. That overnight beach experience may have seemed simple on the surface, but for me, it was filled with meaning both spiritually and emotionally. Being surrounded by nature, sharing good food and laughter with people who share the same faith, and ending the night with heartfelt conversations and music… it reminded me how precious these little moments are.
Life can get busy and overwhelming, but days like this remind me to pause, appreciate the present, and stay close to the things and people that truly matter. I’m grateful for that day, for the peaceful nature, the warmth of friendship, and most of all, the joy of doing something meaningful for Jehovah God alongside those I love.
