Have you ever felt unmotivated to do anything in the morning, which may impact other things, such as the work to be done later? I felt this way this morning, waking up feeling tired even though I hadn’t done much physical activity the previous day.
In my mind, I had planned a morning routine like jogging and reading a book, but in the end, I didn’t do any of it and ended up arriving late to the office without packing any food. Fearing I’d end up hungry, I decided to buy instant noodles at the shop across the street along with an egg. This two-item combo that saved my stomach only cost 5,000 rupiah, and I hope it can give me the strength to last until lunchtime.
Upon arriving at the office, still in the same mood, I ended up making the instant noodles without much enthusiasm. I took water using a pot, turned on the stove, and placed the pot filled with water on top of it. Still in the same mood, I opened the instant noodle package and cooked it with a casual mood.
One by one, my office colleagues started arriving and saw me cooking instant noodles in the morning, a routine I rarely do (since I usually bring my own lunch or breakfast to eat with them). After the noodles and water were cooking together in the pot, I cracked an egg using the tip of a spoon to cook it with the noodles and egg.
After that, I left the kitchen and stumbled toward my desk, which wasn’t far away. While waiting for the noodles to cook, I decided to scroll through my phone and watch some videos from the game Epic Seven (since I’m currently addicted to this game, I might review it separately later).
I was quite surprised to hear an unusual sound from the kitchen. I quickly ran to check and found that the noodles I was cooking were foaming and almost spilled onto the stove. I quickly turned off the stove, feeling a bit panicked. Luckily, they were already cooked, I thought. After that, I poured the noodles into the bowl I had prepared earlier.
The next moment was pouring the seasoning into the instant noodles and bringing them to the work desk to enjoy as a fairly filling breakfast. There are a few interesting things, in my opinion. First, sometimes the plans we make might not go as smoothly as we’d hoped. Regardless of our mood or circumstances, it seems we still have to maintain a normal state of being when faced with work. At least the noodles were tasty and didn’t fail.
Thank you 😃
