Hello, I want to tell you that today was quite a busy day for me. I knew early on that I had an intense day ahead of me; in the morning, I had to do my usual work routine, and around noon, I had to take my father to a doctor's appointment. So, I got up very early, with the intention of doing everything calmly and on time.
My plan was to pick up my dad at 11:30 so that he would be calm and not in a rush. Luckily, it didn't rain the night before, and although the dawn brought some clouds, they weren't a cause for concern. That's how the weather is in Margarita; it may start out gray, but soon the warm sun comes out and transforms everything.
During the morning, as I traveled, I was accompanied by urban and natural landscapes that seemed designed to keep me calm. They were so beautiful that they made me feel at peace, as if they were reminding me that everything was going to be okay.
Hola, les cuento que hoy tuve un día bastante movido. Desde temprano sabía que me esperaba una jornada intensa; por la mañana debía cumplir con mi rutina de trabajo y, cerca del mediodía, llevar a mi padre a una consulta médica. Así que me levanté bien temprano, con la intención de hacer todo con calma y a su debido tiempo.
Mi plan era recoger a mi papá a las once y media, para que estuviera tranquilo y sin apuros. Por suerte, la noche anterior no llovió, y aunque el amanecer trajo algunas nubes, no eran preocupantes. Así es el clima en Margarita; puede comenzar gris, pero pronto el sol cálido se asoma y lo transforma todo.
Durante la mañana, mientras me desplazaba, me acompañaban paisajes urbanos y naturales que parecían diseñados para mantenerme serena. Eran tan hermosos que me hacían sentir en paz, como si me recordaran que todo iba a salir bien.
I arrived at Sunsol Unik and successfully completed my work routine. Everything went quickly and efficiently, allowing me to continue the day with a calm and positive attitude.
When I finished, I went out to find my father. I wanted to arrive with plenty of time to spare, because I know that older adults like to take their time getting to their appointments. And they're right. When I am eighty-four, I would also like my son and grandchildren to understand that need for tranquility.
I picked him up and we set off for the doctor's office. During the trip, he commented on how beautiful everything looked, as if the world were brighter than usual that day. I loved hearing him talk like that, so attentive to detail.
Llegué al Sunsol Unik y realicé mi rutina laboral con éxito. Todo fluyó con rapidez y eficiencia, lo que me permitió continuar el día con una actitud calmada y positiva.
Al terminar, salí a buscar a mi padre. Quería llegar con tiempo suficiente, porque sé que a los adultos mayores les gusta ir con calma a sus compromisos. Y tienen razón. Cuando yo tenga ochenta y cuatro años, también me gustaría que mi hijo y nietos comprendieran esa necesidad de tranquilidad.
Lo recogí y emprendimos camino hacia la consulta. Durante el trayecto, él comentaba lo bonito que se veía todo, como si ese día el mundo estuviera más brillante de lo habitual. Me encantó escucharlo así, tan atento a los detalles.
When we arrived, we didn't have to wait long. Within fifteen minutes, we were being seen. The doctor was very friendly and charismatic. She talked to my dad at length and patiently explained the tests they would be performing. Everything was done with such kindness that he felt very comfortable, so much so that he had a hard time getting up when it was time to leave. Best of all, there is a possible solution for his hearing loss, which filled us with hope.
Al llegar, no tuvimos que esperar mucho. En quince minutos ya nos estaban atendiendo. La doctora fue muy amable y carismática, conversó bastante con mi papá y le explicó con paciencia los exámenes que le harían. Todo fue con tanto cariño que él se sintió muy cómodo, tanto que le costaba levantarse cuando ya era hora de irnos. Lo mejor de todo es que hay una posible solución para su pérdida auditiva, lo cual nos llenó de esperanza.
Seeing him leave the doctor's office in high spirits and full of enthusiasm was the best part of the day. Then we took him to the Río Market so he could have a quiet lunch and return home without rushing. With the tenderness of a beautiful day well spent.
Verlo salir de la consulta con ánimo y entusiasmo fue lo mejor del día. Luego lo llevamos al Mercado Río para que pudiera almorzar tranquilo, y así regresar a casa sin apuros. Con la ternura de un lindo día vivido.
After dropping him off at his house, very happy because it had been a perfect day for him, we returned home with our hearts full. Knowing that he felt good is a great reward, although I must admit that I ended up exhausted. Whenever I go out with my father, I try hard to make him feel comfortable, and that can sometimes be a bit demanding, especially when his tolerance level is not at its best.
That's how our day went. Intense, yes, but also full of good moments. I'm left with the satisfaction of having spent time with him and done what was necessary to make him feel good.

Después de dejarlo en su casa, muy contento porque para él fue un día ideal, regresamos a casa con el corazón lleno. Saber que se sintió bien es una gran recompensa, aunque debo admitir que terminé agotada. Siempre que salgo con mi padre me esfuerzo por hacer que se sienta a gusto, y eso a veces puede ser un poco demandante, sobre todo cuando su nivel de tolerancia no está en su mejor momento.
Así transcurrió nuestro día. Intenso, sí, pero también lleno de buenos momentos. Me quedo con la satisfacción de haber compartido con él y de haber hecho lo necesario para que se sintiera bien.
