Today, I don’t have much to say. I woke up with a strange feeling in my gut that I couldn’t fully explain, but I just knew my body wasn't at its best. It started last night, actually. I felt slightly feverish before going to bed, but I brushed it off as stress or maybe just too much screen time.
So I did the responsible thing by putting my phone away and went to sleep, hoping I’d wake up feeling better. But morning came, and the feeling had only grown stronger. It wasn’t overwhelming, but it was enough to make me consider going to the pharmacy to get something to fix whatever was going on.
While thinking of that, I also thought of what natural method could help and that’s how I remembered the warm water hack my mom told me about. She said whenever I feel a little off, especially in the morning, I should drink warm water so I decided to try it.
I drank a cup of warm water, not expecting much, but hoping for some kind of relief. But a few minutes later, I started sweating profusely. It was strange because just moments before, I had been feeling cold. Suddenly, my body felt warm, like something inside me had been stirred awake, which prompted me to open the curtains to let fresh air in, then I laid back down.
At that point, I didn’t even question it. I just let my body do what it needed to do. When I woke up again, I felt the urge to use the bathroom, and after that I felt instant relief. That heavy, uncomfortable feeling I woke up with had eased and my body felt lighter.
Now that made me reflect on how sometimes, we’re quick to panic at the slightest discomfort. Quick to reach for medication, to assume something serious is wrong. And while it’s always important to take our health seriously, maybe not every small signal from our body needs an immediate rush to external solutions.
At times, the body just needs a little support with something simple. But of course, not everything can be solved this way, and it’s also important to know when to seek proper medical help.
