It was a ritual. My island of relaxation in the circle of worries related to dogs, cats, birds, work, car and much more. Everyone can name hundreds of problems that we can face every day.
I don't come to the salon too often. Once a month - manicure, and once every two months - haircut and hair coloring. There is no time, no energy, no means for more (to be completely honest).
That's why I really appreciated these visits. They gave me a feeling of exhalation, when the tension went away and you could feel taking care of yourself (at least for money).
A cup of coffee was a necessary component of this ritual.
But the blackout started again. There may be no electricity from 7 to 20 hours in a row. It's hard not only to live in such conditions, but also to work. Especially small and medium-sized businesses.
I'm watching how the owner of this salon copes with it. She is very young, barely over 30. It does everything possible to provide its customers and employees with comfortable conditions.
The generator appeared first. This is an ordinary attribute of our life today.
Then the unusually cold winter this year (up to 25 degrees below zero) made new adjustments to doing business.
Warming chares appeared on the chairs for clients and employees. A strange attribute for a beauty salon, but this is our reality today.
The gas fireplace is another novelty of the war interior.
But coffee is no longer part of the visit. After the inverter couldn't stand it one day, I don't ask to do it anymore. Even if I'm offered. Hair dryers, other equipment require too much power and the coffee machine can be the last straw. I will be very sorry if the inverter can't stand and my favorite salon will be in trouble. After all, then it just won't be able to work.
But the ritual can't be broken...
Then I solved this problem in a different way. I started buying coffee in a small cafe on the way to the salon. This is also a local small business. Thus, the ritual is not broken 😉
